web cam set-ups

Hi

I am interested to learn about the current state of web cam technology.
Is it possible to be able to not only see, but speak to and hear a person over the internet with a webcam which has some sort of in-built microphone, without needing to type through a keyboard or use a telephone?

If so, how much do these cost approximately?

If you've got a webcam and a microphone, I believe MSN messenger will allow you to do exactly as you desire.

Webcams from about £45 for something half decent, not sure about the mike - dont know if you can get a webcam with integrated mike but if you pay enough I'm sure you can
