Ukraine invasion

How many more war crimes have to happen before Putin is stopped.

c_v,
A more pertinent question is this: when circa 8 million Ukrainian refugees coming flooding into western Europe, will you - and those of you who support the war - welcome them into your home and give them refuge?

To avoid this impending crisis, all that needs to happen is for the west to call a ceasefire and agree to negotiate with Russia. That's unlikely to happen while the Biden administration calls the shots and the war serves their aims which, as we all know, has sweet FA to do with protecting Ukraine's democracy (cough) and sovereignty. Needless to say, the U.S. doesn't give a poop. Why? Because none of the refugees will end up on their shores, no U.S. servicemen are being killed and no U.S. infrastructure is being destroyed. Stopping Putin is simple. All you have to do is stop the U.S. trying to instigate regime change and impose their so called 'rules based system' on Russia and beyond in order to protect their hegemony and the $USD as the world's reserve currency. That's the underlying root cause of the conflict.

Won't be any negotiations either from the West or Ukraine.

Here's just One reason why not.

Clearly Russia has given up trying to beat Ukraine's military and are instead concentrating on terrorising the civilian population.

Is Russia ever going to step out of the dark ages !

You didn't complain about Ukraine using civilians as human shields so you're in no position to moan about Russia's tactics. War's a nasty business full stop. If you don't like it, join us on the right side of the argument and call an end to it.

More a case of putting Ukraine into the dark ages.
Literally.

As long as the Russian 'Special Military Operation' is conducted on Ukraine ground, there will be nothing to complain about Ukraine's acting to kick the raiders out of their country.

Ahha, exactly.

Tim should be singing the praises on NATO's restraint.

But you know what, The West and NATO both know that Russia will be mullered in Ukraine and that sanctions coupled with rapidly falling energy prices will finish them off. So why bother getting directly involved ! Ukraine, has already proven, can handle it, given the right level of support.

Of course I didn't, because they didn't.
Just because Brainless Brian said it, doesn't make it fact.
Btw, these Russian acts are not "tactics", they are war crimes, as you well know.

In fact, all your sources are questionable to say the least.
Personally, I think you have gone full tilt conspiracy theorist. :ROFLMAO:

Regardless, Ukraine will persevere. The are extremely innovative and resilient.

Putin's pet project has cost Russia dear. The real cost will be orders of magnitude higher when Russia becomes fully isolated.

Of dear c_v,
Yet again you ignore unpleasant truths that don't support what you want and wish was true. It's one thing to spout out the 'Ukraine good - Russia bad' narrative - but to actually believe it is beyond naive - it's plain infantile. One would have thought that having been a trader for donkey's years that you would have learnt the lesson by now that hope, wish and want etc. are four letter words that will bite you in the a$$ in the end. As you well know, Ukraine does indeed use civilians as human shields. That's an established fact . . .

Ukraine: Ukrainian fighting tactics endanger civilians

In fact, all your sources are questionable to say the least.
Any source that says anything that questions the intellectually and morally unjustifiable narrative that you're wedded to is questionable in your eyes, lol!
Personally, I think you have gone full tilt conspiracy theorist. :ROFLMAO:
The irony here is that I'm the one dealing in known facts. Egghead Brian also uses known facts - often as not official documents from pro-Ukrainian sources. If there's a conspiracy theorist subscribed to this thread - it's you. Sadly, you can't get your crazy theories straight, telling us one minute that Russia will take over Europe and the next minute that it's a completely spent force.
Regardless, Ukraine will persevere. The are extremely innovative and resilient.
I agree that Ukrainians are innovative and resilient. Sadly, I also suspect you're right that they'll persevere, right up until there's no army left, no infrastructure and minimal civilian population. Just an empty shell of a country. At which point (if not before), the U.S. - along with your new found friends in the MSM - will have long gone and turned their attention to Taiwan, or wherever, and the few Ukrainians that remain will be left wondering who benefited from all the death and destruction. Then the penny will drop that, other than Zelensky who's done very well out of it all, it certainly wasn't them. On the contrary, their lives have been completely torn asunder, all for nothing. Zero, zip, zilch, nada. It's outrageous, it's horrific and it must stop now. Today!
Tim.

Well she got that completely wrong didn't she.
Also neglects to mention European energy dependence on Russia and in particular Germany.

All rather unsurprising mind. Europe as a collective is in One sense stronger, but it's a double edged sword. In another sense they are weaker because when decisions need to be made quickly and decisively, there will always be blockers and dissenters which results in everything taking far too much time.

So if Merkel wants to do anything useful and make amends, she should urge the new chancellor to get off the fence and supply Ukraine with everything it needs to ensure that Herr Putler is put back in his box. Or a non metaphorical box would be much better.

Innovation and determination central to Ukraine's success.

There are parallels to the UK's own SAS forces that wreaked havoc against the Germans in WW2.

Update on Russian military operations in and around Ukraine for November 28, 2022.
  • Battle front is stable, Russian forces are pushing back amid stalled Ukrainian offensives.
  • Russia continues dismantling Ukraine's power grid, leaving millions without electricity.
  • US claims Russia is committing "war crimes" despite the US having targeted power grids repeatedly amid multiple wars of aggression.
  • Western sources claim Russia is running out of cruise missiles because of older cruise missiles allegedly turning up in Ukraine.
  • Using older cruise missiles and target drones to spoof enemy air defence systems is a long-standing and successful tactic.
  • Western media admits growing complications regarding Ukraine's use of donated heavy weapons.
