Ukraine invasion

Earlier, on 11 January, Evgeniy Prigozhin, head of the Wagner PMC, said that while inspecting the city, about 500 people were found dead. “The entire city is strewn with the corpses of Ukrainian soldiers,” he reported.

Wagner Group: Speculated origin of name and neo-Nazi links

In 2021, the Foreign Policy report noted the origin of the name "Wagner" to be unknown.[54] Others say the group's name comes from Utkin's own call sign "Wagner", reportedly after the German composer Richard Wagner, which he is said to have chosen due to his passion for the Third Reich (Wagner being Adolf Hitler's favorite composer).[82][83] As such, some believe he is a neo-Nazi,[84][85] with The Economist reporting that Utkin has several Nazi tattoos.[83] Members of Wagner Group say Utkin is a Rodnover, a believer of Slavic native faith.[86] Radio Liberty cited insiders as saying that the leadership of the Wagner Group are followers of the Slavic Native Faith, a modern Pagan new religious movement.[9] In August 2017, the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak speculated that Utkin was possibly a figurehead for the company, while the real head of Wagner was someone else.[87]

Various elements of Wagner have been linked to white supremacist and neo-Nazi far-right extremists,[57][83][58] such as Wagner's openly far-right and neo-Nazi Rusich unit,[88][89][90][91] and Wagner members have left neo-Nazi graffiti on the battlefield.[58][92] However, Erica Gaston, a senior policy adviser at the UN University Centre for Policy Research, noted that the Wagner Group is not ideologically driven, but rather a network of mercenaries "linked to the Russian security state". Russia denies the connection and officially the group does not exist.[55][54]

Phylo,
There is no doubt that Russian soldiers are dying in this conflict. No one denies that - not even Putin. In a war of attrition like this one absolutely is, the side with the biggest army (personnel) and the the most amount of kit (weapons and ammo') will, all other things being equal, win. So, the only question anyone needs to address is this: which side has more personnel and kit? Needless to say, for better or for worse, the answer is Russia. Ergo, anyone who analyses the war without prejudice and looks at what's actually going on (which is more or less the opposite from what MSM tell us), will know that for every 100 Russians killed (e.g. in the article you linked to) that 5, 6 or even 7 times that number of Ukrainians die in a similar time frame.

The bottom line is that while it might take Russia a long time to win the war, there's absolutely no way that it can lose it. Once those on the wrong side of the argument understand this, then the sooner they'll come over to the right side of the argument and demand that it ends TODAY! Just to be clear, politicians and military hierarchy in the west understand all this perfectly well, made clear by official Pentagon briefings as outlined by The New Atlas, The Duran and others, along with military experts such as the one I linked to in this post. Sadly, it's just the general public who are duped by Mail Online articles, the BBC and Sky etc. - for whom the penny is yet to drop. Oh, and of course a few people on here!
;)

You don't know any of this, so stop making it up.

We already know that the Ukrainian tactics have been far superior, hit and hide, with shorter supply lines. Russian losses are heavy with Ukrainian losses less so.

According to your misinformed logic, if 100k Russians dead, then Ukraine would be upwards of 500k.

c_v,
My "misinformed logic" comes from 'your' side: e.g. Pentagon briefings, U.S. 'Think Tanks' and pro-Ukrainian military experts etc. Not Putin, not Tass and not pro-Russia YouTubers etc. And much of it has been posted week in and week out on this thread.

The simple fact of the matter is that like a child who puts their hands over their ears and shuts their eyes, you refuse to listen or watch anything that negates your fantasy of seeing the end of Putin. Anyone who bothers to look at what's actually going on, with an open mind and without their judgement being clouded by what they want, wish and hope for - can evaluate the mountains of evidence and conclude that Ukrainians are dying in unsustainable numbers and at a faster rate than new recruits are being trained to replace them. Ditto for their kit. Russia does not have this problem. You're being wilfully blind to reality, just of millions of people are being wilfully blind to the reality about the Covid 'vaccines'. However, unlike most of them, you don't have the excuse that no one told you or presented you with the evidence. Mountains of it.

So, what has to happen for you to wake up, take the blinkers off, see what's really going on and call a halt to this madness before it gets seriously out of hand?

The various posts, commentaries and issues earnestly and hotly debated on this thread are a source of revision, new information, reassessments, reflection and, at times, amusing entertainments.

To quote / paraphrase the late Queen: 'Recollections may vary' / 'Opinions will vary.'

What tomorrow holds only tomorrow knows. Anything-can-and-will-happen.
  • The show may go according to your envisioned conclusions.
  • The show may go accounting to Tom, Dick or Harry's Harriet's envisioned conclusions.
  • The show may go NATO.
  • The show may escalate nuclear tactical.
  • The show may escalate nuclear strategic.
Time limits reciprocal commentary.
However, unknown others are always watching so there is always an audience to educate against the dark side. :devilish::)

While these debates and discussions are educational they do not directly and practically benefiting the people and children traumatized by the war. The thread and forum reach is minimal.
Direct and practical benefits require more than words - see my post # 3,248 section BTW: https://www.trade2win.com/threads/ukraine-invasion.240741/post-3242653
I wait - in anticipation of your reply.
