UK Politics

Labour is the only party to restore some level of distribution of income in the UK.

What! - do you mean like Venezuela & Argentina? Didn't Corbyn use to go on about his admiration for these "model" socialist systems?

Yeah he goes on about lots of things. The word "deranged" springs to mind.

On a more serious point, he is looking less and less as though he has a grip on power within his own party. Militant Momentum seem to be calling the shots and I detect a growing sense of this from moderate Labour MP's. Looks as though a full on row is brewing.

McDonnell - power behind the throne. And the joke is that the boiled frogs (moderate old school Labour MPs) think that they're still in with a chance!

No matey, like European social model of democracy.

EU far more equalaterian with a better distribution of income wealth than the UK & US.

They are two countries historically well adn trully fecked up by ultra right and now ultra left. Give them enough time, not interfere and sooner or later like our mature democratic European model they will find a middle ground between two polar extreme systems.

Let's be mature and grown up about this. :)

They do! Big support for Labour down here. Tories lost first council seat to Labour last year where labour never had any seats for years.

Big grass root support for labour. As Corbyn says they have more signed up members than ever before.

People are so sick and tired of Tories that's why TM still in charge. No one has belief in winning to challenge her. First she loses majority then rebels lose elections. That'll be poetic justice for the numpties. In destroying UKIP they will have destroyed them selves.

Both parties have an identity crises. (n)(n)

Otherwise, UK is the most skewed country after US in the so called elite Western countries.

The government, private public partnerships, companies folding, pensions being hypened and even the five big accountancy companies are all in collusion.

HTF can a company like Carillion so mercilessly get well and trully ****ed by directors and accountants working for governent contracts??? Think about it.

Will there be any criminal proceedings brought to any directors?

Company like that doesn't go under in just one year. It was masterminded over a period of 5 years.

Government too busy trying to govern Brexit to look at anything else.

That last sentence is wrong.

UKGov (aka Deep State) is too busy trying to maintain the Syrian narrative to be bothered with Brexit. UKGov is too busy trying to maintain the Syrian narrative to allow a leadership contest. UKGov is too busy trying to maintain the Syrian narrative to govern the UK properly.

I think you'll find that's the US of A doing all that with big gas and oil industries requesting gunship diplomacy to gain controlling access to resources in the region. UK just follows US foreign policy. Special relationship and all that.

This is simply code for......"the party has been infiltrated by militant".

Ordinary Labour supporters will desert the party in droves, like we saw happen when Thatcher came to power.

Some of us actually know our history rather than live in a fantasy make believe dream world.

I see Boris was booed at the Test Match.
A spent force for lunacy it seems.

They are paid up members. Activists carry far more persuasive campaign power than any celebrity politicians like Boris or Gove. They actively talk with friends colleagues neighbours put signs up and equally loath what is happening to the country and how it is managed. I see them and talk to them and believe me they are vocal well spoken average bodies like you and I family people. They are not like your regular militant student union types.

I wouldn't under estimate Labour.

Tories know it too. That's why no one has tried to topple TM. Just likes of moggy and boris sniping from sidelines. Gove the weazel has already turned. His the smart one right? :cheesy:

Tories are fecked at the next election, they haven't needed Labour to do that to themselves. Labour have fecked themselves with the Islamist support and turned many members away, but the 'grass roots' middle class privileged white man support will keep them afloat.

Neither of which will stop one or other of those parties getting into power at the next election, however 2022 is a long way off.

Longer Brexit fiasco continues and the more people see who their leaders are and failed promises, lies and deceit, they'll be doing more than just booing.

Harder Boris tries to get PM role crazier and more outlandish his boasts will become.

Crazy fool just don't see it. Brexiteers like your good self are waking up to Govie and Boris though.

How about Moggy next? This one may concern you Split?

Pre-referendum

When a Number 10 spokesperson suggested in May 2016 that it was “possible” a vote to leave would endanger EU citizens’ rights in the UK, Peter Bone called it “absurd”. The Tory MP insisted that “any EU citizen that is legally here if we come out of the EU would absolutely have the right to remain here.”

Jacob Rees-Mogg said it was “really grubby politics” to worry people who had established “a legitimate right to be here”. He told PoliticsHome: “It would be straightforwardly immortal [sic] to deport people who have come here legally and who have established their lives here.” Rees-Mogg also called on the government to give EU citizens an “unequivocal guarantee” they would be allowed to remain in the case of Brexit.

On June 1, Vote Leave itself issued the following statement signed by Boris Johnson, Michael Gove, Gisela Stuart and Priti Patel: “There will be no change for EU citizens already lawfully resident in the UK. These EU citizens will automatically be granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK and will be treated no less favourably than they are at present.”

Rees-Mogg: EU nationals will have no right to stay

Man of faith and principals turning on pledges. What else will he turn on.

He has vested interests to pay as little tax as possible turning UK in to a safe haven for all kinds of dirty illegal cash earnings. His more than a weazel. His someone who has sold his soul to the highest bidder. Principals indeed. :devilish::devilish::devilish:

Skripals again :whistling

Who do we believe now?

Russian tourists visiting the Cathedral? Surely this can be proved with CCTV?

Russian Novichok agents dumping something in a park on the South side of Salisbury? Surely this can be proved with CCTV?

Russian GRU entering the country? Surely UK counter-espionage were surveilling them from the moment they went through passport control?

Russian GRU exiting the country? Surely an all ports alert was issued on the day?

Novichok found in City hotel? Surely decontamination zone setup around the building?

Russian civilians visiting Salisbury? Surely they would have visited Stonehenge into the bargain?

Russian assassins? Sauntering around Salisbury, looking in jewellery shops, overt, maybe a decoy for the real deal?

At least we can establish that the 2 guys are Russian, one less card to find in this game of Cluedo!

Guess who is having their Political Party Conference this weekend in - Brighton.
The Liberals that's who.
Will we see Atilla holding forth to the massed ranks of remoaners ?
Or holding a big placard outside ?
Marching.

They need a big kick up their rear end if they can't capitalize out of the recent current events.

He might well be leader soon. I don't see much competition for the top job.

The Russians did it.

The Russians did it.

I wouldn't be sure Tom.

Apparently our two friends had been kicked out of Netherlands and were know to officials.

Spooks all about deception and disinformation.

If you are going to knock off persons of interest then one should have a fall back plan ie a fall guy/s. What better idea to implicate two Russian low level hacking experts on another assignment to the killing of Skiprals. Coordinate assasination for say when they are next in the UK or Salisbury.

Salisbury is a particular area of intest what with MoD and many science research lab facilities there. I've always wonder why Skipral would want to locate there and not someplace like Bournemouth??? I dunno just wondering here...

Still a bit stinky for me. Source of this highly toxic chemical, number of deaths or lack of, all the BS around quarantine, application and containment just smacks of incompetent cover up to me.

All the UK have are two agents coming in and leaving UK. Oh they were Russian. How convenient?

Where is evidence linking to crime?

Having said all that, I think any body who works for intelligence services and then betrays ones mother country revealing secrets to what may be termed de enami - deserves to be put out of their misery.

It's sick dirty world we live in. Betrayal is not nice.
