Trump Presidency and the Consequences

Not very funny - he's teetotal & shows great respect for the Queen, unlike the absent "leading politicians".

Ahh a nice hip flask of iced tea would do very well. It’s surprising how poor the tea can be in some of these establishments.

Of course the queen has excellent tea, so there’s no need, but emergency hip flask is sometimes needed.

Don’t worry the never Trumpers don’t know dot about Trump and don’t want to either, who can blame them, I mean who wants to know anything about HRC other than she has medical problems and is not fit to run a country and can’t get elected? [emoji1360]

Well lets hope the long suffering taxpayers got their millions of dollars money worth ?
Melania looking as gorgeous as ever.

Hope Charlie managed to convince him that the planet is at risk with pollution/climate change etc.

All the weapons in the world won't do any good if the planet fries or chokes to death.

India to impose retaliatory tariff on 28 U.S. goods from Sunday - government statement

Yanks playing hard ball.

I see more isolation and move away from international stage for Uncle Sam.

Bully boys seeking acceptance by throwing sand in faces of independent states. Will not lead to fruitfull outcomes.

There is something very wrong with US foreign policy.:unsure::unsure::unsure:

The Iran situation shows Trump's character. He excuses retaliation for the downed drone by saying he doesn't want 150 Iranian casualties. Empathy for the first time.
I have a feeling that Israel which is always prodding Uncle Sam into action wants the Iranian nuclear facilities taken out once and for all. This is about the last chance the West has to do it before the Iranians get nuclear bombs operational. Not enough of an excuse this time but next time when there are more US aircraft carriers in the area it will happen. The Iranians live in their own little bubble and can't see it coming. which is worrying. Trump will make sure there is a next time and not too distant in the future.

Yes partially true perhaps but there is more at stake than just US Israeli and Saudi interests here. I see this as knocking away at US of A. Russia, China and more recently India are behind Iran. Much like the games US and imperial powers play on other smaller countries to bring them down to their knees.

Iran doesn't have much to lose so it is the spear head facing US.

US wants this war and has been itching for years being manipulated by Saudis and Israeli lobby groups. However, imo it faces losing the US dollar standard. It is not a war it can win. Russia, India and China in fact much of the rest of the world will benefit. US "WILL" lose.

Much like UK in WW1 & WW2 which it lost in economic terms, when US rose to precedence. Fighting wars 1000s of miles from home will just see it bleed money and reserves. Not something it has the ability to finance. Saudi's may foot the bill but they are not exactly cash rich anymore either. The future is about building, not destroying.

Iran is no different to any other country. Has been bullied pillar to post since US and Iraq attacked in after deposing Shah of Iran.

The Iranians probably remember their glory days of taking down first the Greek empire ( with help ) and then the Romans.
They should not under estimate Trump. He would rather have a peaceful trading arrangement but would relish a short war.
The shot down drone must have " lit up " where the defences are and what they carry.

Nitpicker here again :)

Whilst the Persians won both battles and wars, essentially it was those resourceful moslems who did for them in the 7th century sometime whilst the Greeks got hoovered up by the Romans much earlier.

With regard to Trump and his "short war": this doesn't fill me with ravenous anticipation as I understand that the shortest of all wars will be the nuclear one to come, which will drag on for several minutes. I'd rather that Trump ( or anyone, for that matter) refrain from lighting the blue touch-paper as there will be nowhere to stand well back.

I think it all will be good for USA in the long run for first choice and nothing else really matters here anyway. I think he should continue his policies and we will see what will be next in advance here totally and completely. All that global trades are very ineffictive for United States of America and it's time to be out of them, for first it will hurt a little but then it will be all good. Time to get back to traditional jobs not only for Information Technology and so on out there, so keep that in mind please. And your opinion is how ?

I'm not sure that you're up to speed on just how much the US is part of the global trade system. I agree completely that in theory complete autonomy and self-sufficiency are possible but the duration of the upheaval to achieve them will last more than a few years, as evidenced by the current difficulties in sorting out steel and aluminium which are arguably the easiest sectors to address. After all the dust has settled, will you and the rest of the American public be happy with the magnitude of the price rises?

The US tried isolation in the 1930s and it was a disaster. Hitler got away with occupying border areas after the US had withdrawn from the League of Nations and rendered it useless. There is no reason it will not be the same again. The US foreign policy of building coalitions will find it hard to get partners if they go with Trump's selfish ideas. The US was big enough to have contacts abroad but poorly run.

According to wikipedia the US was never a member of The League of Nations!

Trump pulls a masterstroke yet again, his tweets make him look stupid (certainly not racist), but it exposes these women for what they are (racist bigots), it also highlights the same for the MSM.

But they cannot see it for themselves, even Pelosi sees it. Same think happens on the left wing in the UK. That's socialism for you.

FGS if everyone adopted if you don't like it, there is the door approach what would the world look like.

Trump goes round tearing up the worst deals ever adn replacing with the best ones ever. Didn't he say drain the swamp.

Didn't he say the election was rigged.

Guy is nothing but full of criticism for what the US stood for. Shame he doesn't take his own medicine. Obviously the sun shines out of his rectum. Thank goodness yanks have Trump otherwise they'd be wondering in darkness.

After all these years of the USA imposing sanctions and blockades, it looks to me as if there could be a rebellion by the Rest of The World and the USA could be the target. After insulting most of the old Allies it will be much more difficult for the US to find coalition partners for anything. The Turks for instance used to be staunch allies but no longer. They prefer Russia etc. He has deliberately undermined all the work of the last 70 years and will have to stand alone. He is losing the EU over Iran etc.

Whenever Trump tweets in the most contravertial manner and triggers the MSM, you know there has to be a large element of truth behind it.

Election masterstroke it certainly is, I wonder how many swing voters will shift to voting Trump now.

It's getting worse.

They turned down the Turks when they wanted to buy Patriot missiles.

Now broken agreement deals over the F35, allowing Russia to step in with sales of their Su-57s. https://www.voanews.com/europe/trump-veto-f-35s-turkey-could-force-ankara-buy-russian-aircraft

Reminds me of that funny film on how to lose friends and alienate people.

Bunch of clowns. Started with their daft 9/11 inside job and axis of evil shiite. Where is Dick Cheney and the neo-cons now?

Americans don't like unpatriotic Americans, last time I was there, there were stars and stripes flying from every doorway, from 300 feet high flagpoles with flags the size of a football pitch, probably the most patriotic country in the world. I doubt much has changed in the 20 years since.

Anyone that tries to denounce the US claiming to be American is just asking for it eventually and that would be without bringing heritage into the equation.
