Triangles, Wedges, Pennants etc

Hello,
I wonder why more people don't trade these kind of formations as they seem to be reasonably reliable approach. Of course no system is completely infallible but this does seem to be a reasonable approach to trading.

Those are all examples of consolidation patterns. As such, they are the basis for many systems out there. i would venture to say that more people than you think trade based on them, whether explicitly or not.

i'm sure many do trade those. i look for smaller patterns within wedges, like W/M reversals, then use the wedge to set a longer term target.
