Program For Traders Day - Saturday 6th July - Solihull

This day has been organised by traders for traders. It's not a commercial event and none of the speakers are being paid. The aim of the day is to give participants an opportunity to share knowledge and ideas about trading. We anticipate attendance by about 20 people, this size of group will allow plenty of scope for informal discussion and will allow a friendly atmosphere.

10am - Presentation by Mark Williams (aka FTSEBeater) on his first few weeks as a full time trader.

10-20 am Presentation by Nev Davies (aka Carlo1) on his experiences of swing trading.

10-40 John Wone (aka JPWone) on spreadbetting the Dow and taking advantage of price bias.

11-00 Coffee

11-30 Martin Shoebridge (aka ChartMan) will talk in detail about intraday trading on the Dow.

2-00 Helen Quenet (aka Helenqu) will lead an interactive session on psychological defence mechanisms, their potential for causing problems when trading and the process of changing maladaptive responses.

3-00 Tea

3-30 Sandy Grogan (aka TBS) will talk about his considerable experience in the futures market.

Cost £20 for the day including lunch and tea/coffee on arrival, mid morning and afternoon. (Any excess money after costs are covered will be donated to The Heart and Lung Foundation in memory of Plastic Tortoise who sadly died of emphysema in April).

In addition to this Dave Baker has kindly donated two fully supported copies of his Pfscan which will be raffled (free raffle) on the day.

To book a place or for any further information please e-mail Helen Quenet at [email protected].

After the course, at about 6pm, a restaurant will be booked for as many as want to come so we can continue the discussions after the end of the day. Details of that to follow.
