Trader Monthly Harrods Party...

Just to report on the Trader Monthly party tonight...

Apart from meeting with 'intercreate', an ex-Schneiders Trader, and an ex-Bloomberg salesman it was pretty mundane. A few people noted that champagne was NOT served... only wine. A friend of mine won a leather case but it was an evening of fending off approaches from 'Harrods Personal Shoppers' and watch salesmen.

P.S. Before anyone asks... the 'goodie bag' at the end of the evening contained;

  1. A Harrods Watch Magazine
  2. A bottle of 'Ralph Lauren Romance' EDT
  3. A bottle of 'Polo Explorer' EDT
  4. A small box of Michel Cluizel Chocolates
  5. A brochure for the Maserati GT,

    and last but not least...

  6. A Harrods 'Loyalty Points Card' application form :rolleyes:

Oh yes... the canapés were OK... ;)
 
Did you see the Mobile phone for £189000....or would sir rather have a new Ferrari and the one of the other phones on display?
 
pfff... if they are going to try and pander to traders, they could at least appeal to the baser instincts that predominate on the trading floor... half naked models, tons of beer, champagne and liquor freely on tap.

I havent been to a lot of the TM do's, but the ones I made it to were pretty good on all fronts.

The Trader Monthly launch party was pretty legendary... oozing with models, and I drank so much that I only made it in to the office with a few mins to spare for NFP (baad idea doing a big party just before payrolls) and threw up not long afterwards.

sounds like Harrods were a big let down.

Drank so much...threw up afterwards..only in Britain

I cant make that one either unfortunately, they seem to be pulling parties of the hat quite regularly all of a sudden - PM me for invites if anyone wants to go and doesnt have the RSVP link

It’s very commendable you take your work seriously but throwing-up over NFP – perhaps you should get out more. How did you take the Fed’s 50 point cuts – you must have gone into a coma.

Went to the Trader Monthly party at Rockit in Chicago recently - I'll have to check out a London bash one of these days...
