I'm surprised this thread has got as far as 53 pages without anybody mentioning Bloomberg. A Trump vs Clinton debacle might be enough to tease him into running as an independent.

After listening to the mitt romney speech, I'm pretty fond of the guy now that I know that the whole establishment situation is real.
They're scared folks. The republican party is about to get really desperate.

Not sure why he doesn't mention the fact that his fat ass is probably getting threats everyday, if he doesn't win this thing his whole company will be sabotaged.

GOP is really gobby. Telling it like it is and then not liking what its talkin about. The irony of it all is hillarious. Increasingly republicans are the butt-end; source of their own words.

In fact I'm a little confused as to what all the fuss is about. Does one vote for;

A. Policies?
B. Candidates based on their character?

Doesn't matter either way! Because democracy means you still have a vote and a choice; not to vote. One could always vote for the democrats if you don't like what the Republican party has become.

I am glad to see Republicans and what they stand for are repugnant to the majority of Americans. US still has a heart and good common sense (y).

Moreover, GOP can go ahead and pick its man as Trump already said he will run for the presidency as an independent.

In summary its like GOP right now has split personality. Does NOT like what it has turned it self into.

Very good article here which hits the nail imo.

I have been stunned at the utter hypocrisy on display in the GOP over the past week or so, as party leaders, analysts and pollsters scramble to repudiate Trump for his comments, tone and temperament.

Can't imagine any intelligent life form voting for the Republicans. Come to think of it aliens either :cheesy:

I can't imagine any intelligent lifeform voting for Labour or any socialist leaning party, which includes Sanders.

One morning a blind bunny was hopping down the bunny trail and
tripped over a large snake and fell, kerplop right on his twitchy little
nose. "Oh please excuse me," said the bunny. "I didn't mean to trip over you, but I'm blind and can't see."
"That's perfectly all right," replied the snake. "To be sure, it
was my fault. I didn't mean to trip you, but I'm blind too, and I didn't
see you coming. By the way, what kind of animal are you?"
Well, I really don't know," said the bunny. "I'm blind, and I've
never seen myself. Maybe you could examine me and find out."
So the snake felt the bunny all over, and he said, "Well, you're
soft, and cuddly, and you have long silky ears, and a little fluffy tail
and a dear twitchy little nose. You must be a bunny rabbit!"
The bunny said, "I can't thank you enough. But by the way, what
kind of animal are you?" The snake replied that he didn't know, and the
bunny agreed to examine him, and when the bunny was finished, the snake asked, "Well, what kind of an animal am I?"
The bunny had felt the snake all over, and he replied, "You're soft, you're cold, you're slippery, and you haven't got any balls...You must be a Republican !

I read this article recently that said alot of Americans have considered moving to Canada if Trump gets in, I think I would feel the same. The guy is clearly a loonatic.
I can't help but worry what the markets would do if he was elected but I can imagine the dollar tumbling.
This article might help.

Everyone in the forex market benefits from volatility. No matter what causes it.

The trouble with non US people criticizing Trump will in my opinion have just the opposite effect and make more US citizens vote for him.
Criticism is like oxygen to him and his wacko policies.

Well its certain, we have surely now reached the saturation point where most non-US residents fail to see why this business dominates our news media. Just like the time before and the time before that.

The BBC will just say well its a vital decision, to identify who's in the running to be the leader of the world's largest democracy, and they simply must report it. But that's just their excuse to take an easy ride, forget about editorial decision-making and report absolutely everything by, about, for or against every single candidate.

I don't say the BBC are worse at this game than the rest of the UK media, they're actually the most responsive to customers' concerns. But they keep doing a crap job nevertheless.

I have always wondered why the Brits get so worked up about the American elections. This idea of getting hot under the collar seems so contrary to their typical demeanor. These are the same people that created the slogan "keep calm and carry on".

Even if a British person's house was on fire, I imagine the person would say "tea time is in 5 minutes, I am sure the firefighters can handle it while I am away for tea". Over here, we would say, "where the $*#! are they?" "They were supposed to be here yesterday". "Two minutes is too long".
