i undertook some real-trading deals for a few friends with one aim in mind. I wanted to prove to them that the forex market in particular is the most beatable of all financial markets.

The secret lies in "THE ALMOST HORIZONTAL LINE".
It is an almost invisible line .

Does anyone know what i am talking about or am i becoming a loonie?:cheesy:

kinda...i am learning his style. I want to meet fellow like minded people and explore this style more.

You guys are the most ---- what's the word----pessimistic people I have ever met. I guess prophets walk alone

hmmm...when i first joined the site last year I had similar feedback... what i thought was a pessimistic attitude to my trading theories.... wish I had of listened a little more, might have saved me a few grand :)

I guess so....i am looking at a scenario where by we exchange ideas , trading strategies etc etc..... a wise man once said "If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas." - George Bernard Shaw

Heck no you're doing just fine.

Matter of fact I've known about trading one liners ever since buying a book ole Joel wrote about that way back when for 10K and I became even more proficient at walking the talk when I went to his seminar that's a regular steal at 20K a pop.

Good stuff !

Definitely !

But I got bored pretty soon with only one line.

And then I remembered our Japanese friends who would never trade without their favourite tool.

And can they trade succesfully, pretty much invented it didn't they !!!

And, what can I say.

BoyMyBoy have things picked up since.

Thinking of selling a book for 20k and doing seminars for 40K, to tell you the truth.

should i fix my eyes on the red line....what do you mean by japanese friends...do you mean...japanese candle sticks....i better get a copy of that book....thanks BSD.

Not quite right, I'm afraid

"If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will have 99.9% of an apple. The broker will have .02% of an apple and the market maker will have got .08% of an apple in the spread. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then Goldman Sachs will make billions, unless it's a bad idea, in which case they'll lose billions & get it back off the tax payer." - George Bernard Shaw

Just having some fun avibe, no worries.

Just read this here, good fun, I lived in the Sudan as a kid for 3 years and had a great time there, and this book certainly brought back some memories:

Re the Japanese, they pretty much invented futures markets didn't they, trading rice futures hundreds of years ago, and they've always been pretty technical in their approach.

I lived in Japan as well for some years and charts on TV etc always had the ichimoku on em, banks and other traders there still use em all the time, which also includes Japanese banks abroad, if you want to go work for them in any capacity even remotely related to trading you need to brush up on your ichimoku skills, I think it's a pretty good approach if that's your style, it can definitely be made into a very profitable trading system:

BSD, you have no clue what your talking about.

Ichimoku cloud is worthless if not directionally- directed by financial maths, hence making it no more efficent than any other indicator.

Son, Americans are the best traders in the world.

Lol, T2Ws resident clown-in-chief still alive and around, and STILL breaking every rule on managing other peoples money.

You have your accounts audited yet, or are you still just another Madoff in the making, trying to attract funds before without being registered as a CTA etc ?

AaaaaWW, did I hurt your feelings little guy?

"Doing without doing" -Could not have said it better, trader without trading.
