The biggest evil

The more you support the local people and democracy the weaker the pak army gets. India, US, Europe and all other interested parties need to play a positive role in this.

So you want pakistan to become a democracy and invade other countries too ? Who should they invade ?

First of all Pakistan is a democracy though its a sham. We have prime minister and president but they are all controlled by the army generals.

Second strong democratic nations do not go on about attacking and invading other countries without a solid cause that is supported atleast by the democratic mindset.

Democracy fixes democracy and that eventually fixes the problems..its a slow process and there are a lot ifs and buts involved but its definitely better than gun powder.

Yes, that's what I am saying. Democracies invade others for a good cause. This is why I am asking which country should pakistan invade for a good cause ? Otherwise it cannot be a proper democracy.

lol keeping Pakistan and other islam based politics aside, you are implying that every democratic country needs to invade another country to be truly called democratic?

Is war a necessary factor to be called a free nation? If thats the case then whats the difference between wars waged by talibans and that christian fundamentalist that killed 90 people in norway and folks making decisions at the white house or 10 downing street?

Well, all major democracies in the world are engaged in present or recent past invasions. They must be doing the right thing. So pakistan should emulate if it wants to be a true democracy.

The difference between taliban and democracies is that taliban kill civilians but democracies don't.

No Pakistan has enough of s h i t on its plate and would have it for another 100 years even after it becomes a full democratic nation (this can take another 10 years). Bringing 200 million plus people to the living standards of the west is not an easy task as this itself is a war on its own.

India, Pakistan, China, Bangladesh, Russia, Iran are the biggest countries in the region in terms of population and virtually attached to each other through walls. Taking care of 3 billion people is not childs play.

The main cause of concern is the role of pak army generals which is at least under reasonable control thanks to the pressure put up by the west. Now thanks to the media freedom in the country the army is being pressured domestically to mend its ways. This perhaps would take time but things are building up for the better.

People are waking up in the Arab world which means the days are numbered for the dictators. The ride is going to be a bumpy one but at least it has to start from some where.

What is the biggest evil currently on earth?

1) Pakistan
2) Saudi Arabia
3) Iraq
4) Homegrown muslim terrorists

Should we bring back execution by firing squad for muslim terrorists?

Its a waste of taxpayers money to jail the enemy.

Stupidity:?: - causing misunderstanding between cultures, religions etc.

After Norway, we cannot point a finger at any one race or religion. When the first news of this started to come through most thought of muslim radicals. Frankly, it was a natural assunption. How wrong it was should teach us not put the blame on anyone without evidence.

On such assumptions wars have been triggered. Remember the "Maine?"

PURSUING EXTREMIST HATREDS

whether it is left or right
Muslim or Jew
white supremist or coloured nationalist
dictator or radical

the sad part about it is that most of these practicing fanatics would change their minds given the maturity that comes of experience

Facists, racists, terrorists, mad mullahs, greedy politicians, nasty primary school teachers

But they had predicted blond haired, blue eyed al queda/terrorist 5 or more years ago. So once again they were proven correct and we are wrong. Some country definitely need an invasion for this outrage.

This is precisely the mantra that has led the world into its current state of affairs.

It is all too easy nowadays to justify an invasion and mass murder of innocents. Yes what has happend is atrocious, but where will it end if the killing is allowed to continue?

The guy responsible is a Norwegian Christian....should Norway now invade themselves to rid them of right wing extremists?? Should they blame Christianity for this ? If so which country should they invade?

Your conclusion is too early. It's usual for the story to change within a few days to implicate the country needing invaded. Currently, libya is the most likely candidate. Although, other so called "arab spring" countries are also top on the list. When a country is divided and in chaos, it is the cheapest moment to move in and give them a taste of democracy.

No, I think that it is your conclusion that was too early, Joe. For Heaven's sake, let's see if we can get to the bottom of this without invading anybody. Invasion seems to be the solution for all our problems and guess who we are going to ask to do it? The Yanks, of course. You know who the Yanks are, don't you? That lot on the other side of the Atlantic who, conveniently, get the stick when things go wrong.
