T2W Tom aka Trader Dante Appreciation Thread

Well the thread title says it all i just been reading through the thread Mr Dante added sometime ago concerning the set up of trades using price action, and what a thread it is.

I am pretty new to trading so have a little way to go BUT because its my destiny to succeed in this business i think three of the signs have already come true, first stumbeling on the T2W forums and then having read some awesome threads there and then stumbling on Toms thread (not read all yet) but the pace im going i aint got long.

Oh yeah i decided to aquinte myself with Tom as well on Skype so thats another one in my favour. All in all id say my risk has been lowered and im sure ill find the edge im looking for.

Anyway thanks to Tom and all the guys on here including all the mods and all the other members even if some of you are not currently at the sharing phase of your journeys and like me are still climbing up, all you guys make trading a much happier experience and give people like me a chance to make it in a business shrowded with so much darkness.

I'd go easy on the "destiny" talk, and instead get yourself acquainted with "Fooled by Randomness" by Taleb. Stumbling upon T2W really isn't a magical find, and you'd be naive at best to believe it's a sign.

Stumbling on T2W and that particular thread is probably more of a curse

It could be worse, he might have found the J16 thread at forex factory

Taleb is exactly what he needs.

How is Tom, anyway? Is he still living in that bedsit in Wandsworth? Reminds me of Richie, off Bottom (the tv series).

I don't mean to be discouraging, but I don't believe in destiny and if you want to succeed in this game, neither should you.

Sorry maybe destiny was the wrong word to use, anything i do in life i always work 200% and i always cover my angles. Some of you might not know but i have mentioned it to trader dante in Skype conversations, i come from a professional analyst background myself and i wont trade live until i know in my mind that i have covered all the angles and i know i got the edge. And that obviasally includes back testing and live testing with the live markets before going anywhere near live trading.

Also i think it would be foolish for anyone else to think that i could make it from reading a couple of threads plus a few books without any anything else. I was just throwing out a appreciation thread as a gesture for all the hard work that goes in around here. I mean come on people dont have to sit here and share anything but it makes the world a much better place with this mindset.

The destiny talk was more of a metophor, i been reading to much 'Think and Grow Rich'. The thought is the seed and destiny is my thought and my seed. In my mind it makes me realise that no matter what ill make it in this business. ;-)

Seriously, if you are an analyst, and you have decent coding skills you should be able to debunk most of the nonsense you'll find in forums pretty quickly (and that definately includes J16's garbage)

You might even find that some of the people who post this nonsense are rather mischevious bunnies

Actually, the real aim isn't to debunk the nonsense, it is to re-package it and sell it.
