MB Trading seems to have a real lazy IT Team!!!

This is the message I'm getting if I try to launch their website.

-----
"Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80040e14'

The log file for database 'Goldmine' is full. Back up the transaction log for the database to free up some log space.

wow. Well, forget FOREX did you hear what the former-Nasdaq chairman Madoff did? How can you be sure about anything after NASDAQ chairman ****s you and the country over $50 billion?

Sweet life :)

Regarding the services of trading platform many people are still not satisfied. They talk about some or the other problems regarding their trading platforms. Either they talk about the down loading speed or sometimes they talk that trades are not executed on time. They come with some or the other problems.

I have seen many forex brokers too with the same problems. I was trading with AVAFX and there was also this problem. All the trading softwares are having some or the other technical problems. And the broker assure to rectify this problem as soon as possible. But it does not happen on time.

I have never really noticed the bottom of these pages before but I see that FXCM is a preferred? broker of T2W ?

Try Elitetrader.com - not many happy punters

I'm currently using oanda, and for the most part love it. The only issue I get is sometimes the chart and market order entries get laggy on me.

Surprised not to see ACM mentioned. They bring out MT4 end of July to be offered up next to their award wining platform. Add the fact they are one of the recognized FX specialist, based in Switzerland and soon to have a bank license, then they merit getting a shout in my opinion.

1.Oanda
2.Interactive Brokers

Good choice!

No MBTrading fan here?

So would you guys say MB Trading or Alpari MT4 platform is the better choice? (dont forget CFTC are likely to change the leverage on american companies)

After making my way through about 4 brokers, I finally found MB Trading. I had done my research and learned a few lessons along the way. There’s a lot of junk information out there, but here’s what I can say after using them for almost five months. They don’t mess with your orders at all; fills are fast; they could care less if you scalp or hold overnight; and their platform, while somewhat awkward at first, is actually extremely flexible in terms of orders. I use Stop Limit + TTO primarily and it prevents me from getting a bad fill while knowing that everything will be handled in terms of entry and exit while I’m away from my machine. If there is one gripe, it’s that rollover rates are a bit high, but I typically close out my trades each day unless I have a nice winner going. As a bonus, the MBT University is terrific for teaching you about the platform and much more. Can’t recommend MB Trading enough, and I doubt that I’ll find a reason to.

I've got a number of forex accounts, but when I was trying to set up an EA last year, I eventually ended up opening an account with the 'recommended broker' (I had avoided this because firstly I am a cynic, and secondly, I did not want another account). Anyway, I opened an account with Tadawul, and I have been impressed. The EA is a scalper which by definition depends on tight spreads, and it trades ok on Tadawul. Live results are available through InvestmentAdvice-online.com The one downside (for a uk resident anyway) is that being a Cyprus based company, there in no uk government backed guarantee that may be applicable to a uk based forex account.

No doubt there will be complaints about spreads and fills at news time, but personally I am happy to avoid the drama and grief of trading news (although there's an interesting long term news trade in Street Smarts).

Most posts here are 2 years old, so alot can change with brokers in that time?

1) Why does fxcm seem to get bad reviews? Im thinking of going with them. They are ECN for standard accounts, cant see what the negatives are with them

2) my first choice at the mo is dukascopy. They have recently lowered minimum requirements to $1000. All ECN trading, seems very positive!

I know alot of Pro's using FXCM.CO.UK and Go Markets. Have not heard anything that bad about them yet.

@Scotty2Cues

fxcm is good and many professionals are using it for years. Some times it too faces trouble like server server disconnection which happens with other systems too. As there are lot of expectations with fxcm, its trivial failure is also hyped in the reviews. Fxcm is the only service which gets improved constantly with time and that's the reason why many professionals are using it for years.
