Spread betting Forex with low leverage

Hi all

Hopefully someone can help with a couple of questions I have.

I'm looking for a forex dealing platform/broker which offers low stakes (micro type account) and preferably a spread betting set up (tax free in uk) although I think it may not be possible to get both. Spread betting firms lowest price per pip is typically 50p which is a bit high if I want a stop loss of 100 pips for example.

Anyone have any recommendations? Maybe I need to not use a spread broker but this would mean filling out tax forms etc wouldn't it?

finspreads academy starts from 1p per pip betting... that may be of help for a short time (8 weeks is what they offer)

Hope that's helpful. Although if you don't have the capital to do less than 50p bets then you may aswell papertrade to test your system (I assume you have all of this in hand right?) I have a finspreads account but in times of volatility don't expect to get in or out easily. The system has a habit of going down around that time

Thanks for your reply Priceman.

I need a broker who will give me lower leverage for longer than this ideally. One of the reasons is that my trading system can require stop lossses of up to 150 + pips if trading monthly charts with price action. If I have multiple positions open (I monitor over 10 ccy pairs) I could have easily over 500 pips worth of aggregated risk which would break my 5% of trading capital risk rule.
Maybe I need to paper trade for longer as you advised, I was hoping to go live though as testing has shown I could potentially be making some money.

Any more suggestions appreciated.
