so what did you learn? not being patronising here. i think it is the hardest thing to cut out of a position for a loss but it is one of THE essential skills to learn in trading.

personally i hope he blows up and f8cks off never to be heard from again, 'cos in my not so humble opinion, he is dragging this site down and with it everyone who contributes to his cretinous threads

I hope he succeeds and shows us we were all wrong...

However, I do think success without some set backs more likely to destroy a young mind...

(y)

But i made £222 pure profit today and £357 yesterday (made a trade for £55 profit after hours).

Spanish,

By profit - do you mean closed trades?

If you're closing out winning trades and moving stops on losing trades, you're clearly not making a profit.

If your daily profit is from all trades, open and closed, then fair play and well done.

Cheers,
UTB

oh, nearly forgot;

Perhaps in any other thread this might be a fair comment, but this is Spanish89's trading journal. If you don't like him, don't visit here.

excellent point. I just lost more than spanish made in that trade in a drunk trade I did just now for lulz... the point is to spanish that's fairly significant money. And it'/s great to see him succeed imo... where else would he get this kind of money? I appreciate £222 doesn't sound much to us but think about it from the perspective of an 18 year old making seventy five grand (before tax)... which is what it is. That's bloody good. And I feel proud I saved him from himself today, as well...

Yay for spanish!!!! :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

That's the problem though - he needs saving from HIMSELF. I hope he learns as from what I can tell he got himself into a situation where he was one trade from oblivion (and a trade that was almost certainly going to go against him too).

Good luck spanish - but please learn something from today.

Don't worry old chap, my motives aren't Spanish's survival as such... they're more based around amusing myself ;)

i know we have slated the guy plenty here, but at least he is having a go i guess, so yeah nice one

Love him or loathe him, Spanish put's his c0ck on the block, and for that he should be rewarded.

It is a damn sight more than most.

Converting to Judaism can be a painful process....:)

I find Spanish's approach rather refreshing and actually a proportion of the successful traders I've met aren't Eton educated. Far from it, barrow boys are just the right material.
Especially one's who put their c0ck on the block.

Sometimes sheer fearless greed and aggression and a certain lack of intellectual reasoning wins the day for these guys especially when it's not their own dosh on the line.

It would please and amuse me greatly if Spanish went on to be a hot shot in the City.
And even if he does blow his account this time time he wouldn't be the first....

Spanish - you're beginning to grow on us

I tend to agree. He's been given advice and he's been mocked, but he's put up with it generally without malice. He has brought some fun and life back to this board, regardless of what you think of his trading methods.

He may be fool-hardy but he is brave as well. He may be having a run of good luck and, with an acccount of that size, good luck can have a dramatic effect in percentage terms. He is at least trying to study the market, so he claims (and which contributes to this lack of sleep).

There are plenty of things a guy of his age could be doing that are nowhere near as constructive.

Given time, with his persistence, plenty of diligence and after a few knocks, bumps and set-backs he may well make good calls. It's too early to tell yet.

So Spanish, although I have had a couple of light-hearted digs at you, I really hope that you do dedicate yourself to learning more about the markets, apply it wisely and grow your account.

A refreshing display of magnanimity Charlton.

In the same vein. Perhaps somebody with a desire for some sport would give Spanish a chance as a trainee?

A trader's version of Pygmalian perhaps.

I do believe he started with the malice. I would say everyone has been extreme polite and patient with him apart from the odd moderator (looks up the page).

You can say that again. The first email I got from him was littered with no less than 50 foul mouthed words with a good number about me poor dear old mother.

I could never understand how the latin blooded people can hold their madres in such high esteem whilst cussing everyone elses... :(

Anyway with the exception of bad taste mummy abuse, I think most of us hurl abuse of one kind or another...

I think we can all see that whilst Spanish has a lot of rough edges, he does have redeeming qualities.

Must confess I'm not a fan of his but whether you like him or not he has character. Let's hope it works out for him. (y)

Valid point Charlton. Most lads his age still want to be a pop star or a F1 racing driver or a premier league footballer or a porn star or something like that.

S89 wants to be a trader, perhaps he's more realistic than most his age.
