S&P 500 & other indexes - intraday. Plus chat

Last couple of weeks have been a bit mad for me but I'm still following the thread, some quality posts that I am going to read again and digest. Hope to get back in action tomorrow. Current very rough and basic game plan is to try and catch a few point as we reach higher to around the 1290s/1300s and then I'll be looking for shorts. But who knows what might happen.

On another note has anybody bought Hedge Fund Market Wizards yet? Really looking forward to that.. always good for entertainment and a bit of inspiration as well.

Good morning all
Has Jack Schwager written another Wizard book ? I liked the other 2.

Morning all

Nearly went long last night grrrrrrrr ahh well.

Neraly 20 points above pivot no way would I open a long here and shorting into this type of strength is risky so may sit it out today unless a good set up develops.

Todays Technical Analysis for the S&P from charmercharts.com

S&P has spent the week correcting off the 1262 lows of Sunday night...We have reached the 61.8 med term fib level of 1296 and the short term charts are calling for a correction today....we see the market falling lower to 1283/80 area and this is where we should cover shorts..

Attempt very small longs looking for a return to 1296 once more...Cover longs prior this resistance...we would only re-instate longs once the market can break 1296...

We would then be in a good position to trade higher with 1308 then the targeted area.. Here we would cover longs...At this point we would revalue the technical indicators....There may be a good case of trading higher from here back to 1333/34...

Incidentally, has Wekim disappeared? I was interested in carrying on talking to him about his dilemma

e2a - I can see him lurking :)

Anyone see any merit in this sort of bet at Paddy's ?

Geez - I don't know,I was asking
Perhaps DT or some stats whizz could tell us.

I wouldn't take the bet around 2.50 area - it's bang where the VPOC has formed. If I was going to have a punt though I'd probably go below 1302.50 because I *think* the +ve delta of 19k contracts will sell-off for the remainder of the session taking price below this VPOC.
