No Rules - High Risk Capital Building from £3k

OK - I'm back and it's time to give this another shot.

FYI: Spain is working out great - but it has taken far longer to get settled than I thought. Internet took ages to arrange (and still doesn't work when it rains) and couldn't get my son into the nursery until now either - so had the family under my feet all day. So whilst fun - it has not been condusive to trading.

Last week I finally found time to put some money back into a trading account. So £1.5k into my SB account on tueday - and it's up to £3k now. So i'd thought I'd post about it again too.

Next week I'm back in th UK for work - so i'll only be trading from my hotel in morning before I leave or evening when 'i get back.

So no rules, high risk - lets see if I can pay the mortgage off this time!

First time i've read this thread, and i feel bad for reading it because i'm a gambler and it just fuels the gambler inside me, yet i'll be glued to it. Having a gamblers mindset can be bad for the obvious reasons and it makes discretionary trading alot harder in some respects, but i think you have to be some what into gambling to get into trading. This is the prime example of someone who has little affinity to money like myself with trading knowledge, which can potentially make a successful trader/gambler, like most traders in the pit.

Brettus,

I think most successful traders have the gambling bug and as long as
they do like theboy plunger did and trade heavy when they know they are
trading in the direction of the trend they can come out on top. Too
many times we hear of people blowing accounts but if that trade came
off and they reverted back to the strict plan till the next big trade comes.

Had a few glasses of Shiraz so my apologies if it sounds jumbled

This type of trading does feed my gambling tendencies - and so in many ways keeps me out of trouble. I have had time to think a bit about trading and so am changing what I'm going to do a little.

I was trying to use a similar entry style to how I like to trade - just on a shorter time frame. i.e. double bottom/tops. However I don't think this is going to work - so I am going to keep that entry type only for high time frames - and this account I'm going to try and just pull out 1--20 pips hopefully in the direction of the current move.

So I will be contrarian on longer TF's and trade with order flow on the shorter TF's.

Episteme,

Been Reading great system on Forex Factory which aims
for 20 pips based on reading bars onthe hourly charts and
you get 2 to 3 trades per day with 6 to 10 point stops. Works
well with inside bar trades as well and gets you in for the longer term
trades as well. Will post it up later when I'm back home

So I'm in work - no charts or coffee yet - so not a good start.

However, £30 pp short EUR/GBP @0.8351. Not really after much 5 pips maybe?

Ok - out @0.8346 for £150. So account balance is now £3250. May stay away from GBP until the budget reaction settles now.

Well when I said may stay away from GBP what I meant was :

sell EURGBP £30pp @0.8350 - again looking for 5- 15 pips

I will stay away from it later today though and certainly tomorrow.

Closed it @0.8345 for £150 profit. Account now £3401.48

Out again for £150 profit. Three trades today - £450 banked. Not bad - especially as I'm also getting paid to work.Won't be trading again until this evening.

Account Balance - £3551.48

Re: "Today, 11:04am #190 episteme sell EURGBP £30pp @ 0.8349"

huh? what are you talking about?

Report his post, he does this on every thread that people are interested in. He generally posts abuse or this sort of rubbish, complete waster

You think I'm making this all up?

(and it's zombie btw)

What am I making up - entry or exit? As each trade went against me at least for a little bit and I saw better prices after the close on 2 of them I find it of a bit strange call?

actually I don't know why I bothered - had a look at your post history and you are opbviously some sort of trolling moron. So please **** off out of my thread.

Go on then you - what am I lying about - i'll post account screenshots and charts if you like to prove it's all real - but only on condition that you **** off when you are proved to be a ****ing moron.

Pssonice> stop using the subject!!! :D

(At least your posts will make sense without having to read a part of the screen that nobody else uses!)

Re: dont pretend to be an expert then there is no need to correct your posts

otherwise I ll correct your Zomby trades.

Lets go to the market and take a cool breath!

Lest look at your own timeseries to prove what a moron you are:

obviously no point in quoting prices after the trade was placed (really are you that stupid?)

so from your own post

(I've bolded some bits to give you a clue)
