I was short US30, and price spiked massively down, then recovered.
It took around 20-30 seconds for my trades to close out.
Luckily, it wasn't too bad.

What happened about 13:15 today?

Anyone else get slipped / order trade taking ages to get processed?

EDIT: DAX also spiked downwards.
Can't see any big moves on FX. GU / EU / GJ / UCAD seems not have noticed.

Again!
Around 10:08am, there was a massive spike from 34490-ish and spiked to 34560, on US30.

I got same spike on an IG chart, so its not just FTMO.

This messes up my indicators, and it will take about 60 bars to normalise.

Another spikey action as price falls precipitiously.

If you are a pattern / levels trader, you would be raking it in.
Us indies guys are getting skinned alive.

I never generally look at intra-day index charts but I see what you mean.

The m5 1005 candle looks like an impressive pin bar suggesting the uptrend since 0745 was under threat. This was a good opportunity to exit longs. And indeed, price fell almost exactly the pin bar height by 1115. But when the 1435 candle broke the top of the pin bar, that had to be bullish and, yes, away price went.

The counter-trend short would have made 1r (using the pin bar range as r), the with-trend resumption would have made >2r. What more could we ask for?

But what about these indicators? Which ones and why is this kind of price action such a threat?

Spike prob due to the time of day you're trading the US30 while it has low volume. That time of day + us housing stats due 15 mins later, not a good time to be in the market if your looking at smaller timeframes. You're trading against algos.

Ah, thanks for that, ffsear.
I have been watching Patrick Boyles breakdown of that stuff.
I think I should stick to DAX, perhaps.
