need suggesion on day trading for noob

I cant think of any reasonable books on day trading, with the possible exception of techniques of tape reading by vadym graifer.

TITZ is a book that you should perhaps read, most love it, personally I'd burn every last copy, I dont particularly like Steve Nison either

There's probably stacks of stuff that I'm not aware of cos I dont day trade stocks

thanks
It might help if you started by explaining why you want to day trade as opposed to longer term swing or position trades.

If you cannot answer this question or your answer is "for the excitement", then the book Trading in the Zone would be perfect for you.

What instruments do you want to trade ?

I would suggest that you look at some of the resources on this site such as

Day Trading & Scalping - T2W Day Trading & Forex Forums

T2W Day Trading & Forex Community - select the category day trading on the left hand side of the screen

T2W Day Trading & Forex Community

I would also suggest that you show some more patience as a noobie on this site.

22 views yet

But no replies

I was expecting a bit more

You posted at 2.29 pm UK time and expected a flood of answers by 9.16 pm, which is during both the UK and US sessions. Patience i.e. waiting for the correct market setup is also something you should find in Trading in the Zone.

TiTZ = Trading in the Zone probably the one by Mark Douglas which is excellent for understanding why you do what you do to yourself. Agreed on Steve Nison and all that candlestick bunk (a bit at the right time is useful but he takes it too far).

You might try Marcel Link's book and also Tony Turner's beginners guide to day trading on line.

Trading in the Zone will help you consider why you want to trade and what styyle of trading is appropriate for you. Also look at this section of T2W

Trading FAQ - Page 2 - T2W Day Trading & Forex Forums

This will give you lots of beginner's information. Look at creating a trading plan - there are examples on this site if you do a search. Your next step is to narrow the search down on "stocks and futures". The trading plan questions you will find on this site will help you answer questions such as:

- what times of the day can you trade ? - this determines which markets you might trade
- how much money do you have to trade ? - this determines whether you use direct access brokers or spreadbet, whether you are classed as a daytrader in the US (minimum $25000)
- how much money can you afford to lose and what is your attitude to risk ?
- what timeframe(s) are you trading ? - hold positions for years, months, weeks or close them every day. Also ask why do you choose this timeframe. There is a psychological consideration here.

Look at Black Bear's post in the following thread for the trading plan template

http://www.trade2win.com/boards/trading-faq/30625-how-do-i-start-trading.html

Once you have asked these questions of yourself then members can point you to more specific resources that would be more relevant to you personally.

Hope this helps
