Need help with pop ups

Hi

How do I get rid of really annoying messenger pop ups. They are really begining to get on my *****.

The majority of them are from companies offering pop up killers but I do not trust them.

Any help would be appreciated.

download the google toolbar. In its 'options' their is a pop-killer you can activate. Has never failed me yet, plus google are fairly trustworthy.

You can always hit ALT+F4 to instantly kill it. Don't hold the keys down too long though otherwise it will kill other windows, and possibly a trading window, too.

You can switch messenger off, if you are not using it for other reasons, I did this and it permanently cured the problem.

There is a freeware at www.panicware.com.
Just install the free basic version and your life will be transformed.

To disable Messenger , Start, Run, type: services.msc
scroll down to messenger, right click Properties and, change to Stop and Disable :cheesy:

I posted about this on my own site not so long ago. This Alexa toolbar is quite handy, as it lets you block pop-ups selectively.
