I have been out in Tuscany for six months and have returned for a week's break!

Looking through the recent posts I cannot see any postings in recent weeks from Richard (Mr. Charts.) Has he left the board? Does he now, perhaps, have his own site concentrating on NASDAQ?

Intersting. He puts up his watchlist and then posts a trade after the event. Looks like easy money to me :)

They can still pay to join his site or just use the free information available here and on other sites.

Looks like some of his friends get a special deal :)

Hummmm...Lucky them eh ?

What you probably mean is that special people get singled out for special treatment.
Unfair, isn't it ?

The people who will benefit most from his site are the ones that have attended his 1-2-1 training course. The watch list comprises stocks for possible trades according to the very precise set-ups that Mr. Charts uses to trade himself as well as to teach others. So, instead of having to trawl through 4,000+ stocks looking for that needle in the haystack, you now have a watch list of a mere dozen or so. This makes the task ahead somewhat simpler. Subscribers know that they are monitoring the very same stocks as Mr. Charts is himself looking for exactly the same set ups. One or more of the trades made from those same stocks will then appear on the analysis section of the site. The value and benefit of this to subscribers is obvious.

Short of having an e-mail or text service saying "go long xyz with at stop at . . ." - there's not much more that Mr. Charts can do. His service helps traders to take responsibility for their own actions and to develop their skills in gauging market sentiment and price action etc. IMO, this is more helpful and beneficial to aspiring traders than the 'bells and whistles' alert service offered by others. The latter leads to total dependency and lulls the aspiring 'trader' into a false sense of security that making money in the markets is easy. When the service is withdrawn - or the 'trader' stops subscribing, he or she will be back to square one having learnt little or nothing about the markets.

Good luck to him. I don't understand why people pay someone to do something they could easily do themselves but that is just me. I am far too tight to pay someone and I enjoy doing my own work.

As I don't trade US stocks, I have no reason to be jealous of those special people receiving the "special treatment" :)

Mr Charts methods are generally news-based, ( to ensure you pick the volatile movers ).
Also, his trading style is short-term, so a text messaging or email service would be pointless.
( read some of the posts, and they tend to be "$x.xx in 25 minutes" etc )
the point of a heads-up of potential movers is all that could be reasonably offered.
this also explains the "after the event" description, as you are too busy monitoring the trade to take screen-shots. The most that could be expected is to show statements of buys and sells at the end of the day.

however, there is a more gentle near-to-close-of-day strategy I was shown.

ultimately, you have to make your own decisions, and its more a matter of nerves then anything else.
( I have been on a 1-2-1 with him, and it is the frenetic minute-by-minute big moves that stop me from trading his style, although I still paper-trade to ensure I dont forget what I learnt. )

Guys,

Mr. Charts is one of the best US DayTraders around. Believe me. I didn't do 1-2-1 with him. I only took his Level II Specialist Micro-Analysis course and we did that over the phone, which is the best thing I ever did. It made me more profitable and consistent than ever before. Level II tells you everything. I don't know about his full course, because I didn't take it myself. But I heard from a lot of people that it's really worth it.

Richard knows his stuff and his service is also 100% worth the money. I'm not saying you can't find the stocks yourself, but it definately makes life a lot easier when you don't have the time for example.
He posts a detailed explanation of a trade he did every day, and even though some people haven't taken his 1-2-1 course, there are still a lot of useful things in there.

And the reason Mr. Charts doesn't post on T2W anymore is because a really negative member ran sort of a hate campaign against a couple of people including him. Because of that he got banned from the forum and now he's on parole again. ( as they call it here on T2W). Richard doesn't agree with this, which I can't blame him for! So that's why he's not posting anymore.

I hope this helps.

-Dave.

Very good point trendie and one that I completely overlooked in my post earlier. Yet another reason why Mr. C' doesn't offer this service!

Considering I never intend on paying another person for knowledge in my trading, and seeing as this is a public BB, I would rather read posts from that 'the member on parole' than any of Mr Charts posts. As far as I could see, MrCharts were majoritively aimed at promoting his 'training' rather than general trading views//knowledge/opinions, which is IMO, what the site is about. Posting charts and explanations after the event, with explanations wittled down to 'micro-analysis' and no details, helps no one unless you are a student of his.

I don't doubt eithers knowledge and I don't know much about the problems which caused his original banning, but from someone looking to learn, discuss, share opinions and help others, I welcome the current situation.

IMO

You are right this time. There is no need for you to do what you do not condsider you need to to, after all everything is here, except for what is not here.

You should see a little further then. When I read his posts, I don't feel like he's trying to get my money for a course. He doesn't need it. I'm sure.

But exactly these kind of discussions are the reason he isn't posting anymore.
Guys, Seancass asked a simple question, and what happens? Negative people come in and start to criticise Richard. Because IMO, you're just jealous he's doing a better job than you are.
And what's wrong with asking money for a course. Are you gonna tell us exactly what you're doing when you're making money consistenly. Are you gonna give it away for free? NO!
