I'm not in the industry, but there are some jobs advertised (at least in the UK) for school-leavers. I don't know how good some of them are, but they might be worth a try.
It probably depends upon the role and the size/'prestige' of the firms you are applying to. You probably won't be doing front office work with a big firm in your first trading job - but there's nothing stopping you from getting there once you have a bit of experience.
