I'm actually not being completely fair to the guy, he's outperformed most of us %wise I should imagine... but you gotta laugh at that little list

Neke's threads.. yeah been following his threads for the last 3 years.

He has a habit of averaging down on losing positions which gets him into trouble every so often.

But i admire the way he keeps posting updates week after week even when he is losing.

He posts his P/L every friday night.. always worth a quick look.

I ain't bothered reading the threads, but depending upon precisely what he is doing, averaging down is not necessarily a terrible strategy...

As you aint read his threads, here is one post from his thread from last year, probably one of the bigger hits Neke's has taken over the years.

Weekly Update for week 1/50 ended 01/16/2010

A disastrous start to the year. Down 99.5K (24%). It all happened on Thursday.

Saw the follow-up rally on BIDU on Thursday, and thought it was overdone at 449. Forgot all the harm I have suffered in BIDU on previous occasions, and that this was just a day to expiration. Bought 50 JAN 450 PUTS @ 6.50, as well as shorting 500 shares. Then came another surge and I added another 60 contracts @ 5.80, and extra 500 in shares. Watched all morning for exit point, but instead came another surge by noon, and in vengeance bought 200 contracts @ 4.00. That was the last act of desperation. Watched as the stock climbed and did not look back, while the premiums kept eroding. Finally closed all 310 contracts at prices from 1.80 down to 1.30 as the bids kept disappearing when I put in my limit order to get out. Lost 102K in stock and 14K in options.

Looking for ways to overcome this inability to accept a loss. Right now, I am putting in place an auto-closure of any position that loses 6% of my account AT THE MARKET. Maybe I will learn to adjust my size accordingly and resist the temptation to average down.

Other that the above, the vast majority of the trades were automated trades made with low size -- and too small to appear on the top/bottom trades. I am looking forward to doing more of the automation.

So much for my sad story.

Ah wait, I assumed this guy was taking sensible risks. Sounds like a typical over leveraged tard. NVM

gotta admire a guy like that. best traders I know have a bit of BONSAI! in 'em, all this "discipline , rism management, moneymanagement, discipline" stuff is good and well but the traders I look up to know when to press harder than normal, and give it a bit of BONSAI! to boot.

having said that, this guy seems to have BONSAIéd it on totally the wrong occasion, so serves him right I spose.

dont know the spelling, I'm talking about putting a hankie with a sunrise round your head and going for it, not the pruning of very small trees.

you mean banzai not bonsai

Seems something has gone wrong. It's all a big mystery.

Looks like he has about 50% win rate which isn't impressive. Looks to me like he has some bad habits. Like Dash says you got to admire his efforts.
