Sticky Introduce Yourself

Intro

hello everyone, i'm aktopgun.
i am starting out as a greenhorn in trading in the UK and would like to learn from u all if i may.

thank you for having me

Thanks Sharkey,

I'm Aulus, a relative newbie after 15 years out of the markets, everything is so different.
I found this site after searching for some information on a company called Concept-FX whom are continually bombarding me with adverts re their supposedly winning fx software.
has anybody heard of them? I would appreciate any information or experience with this company and it's software, who's results and claims seem to good to be true, and therefore probably aren't, lol.

Also can anyone recommend an options trading course?

Thanks in advance and heavy pockets to you all.

Aulus.

Hi everyone
Many thanks to all the replies. Still not so sure about spread betting. Will attend a course 2morrow to explore what to offer. Has any one been to a course that is worth its fee?

Good luck

Hi here's the intro

Hi,
I'm a novice been trading futures forex some 8 years ago then gave up, and have come back doing real time trading about 6 months ago, seems less profit but then the risks are a lot smaller too compared to futures.
I'm trying to learn some quick steps for signals (preferably without any extra software) - seems there are plenty of sharks out there promising the world & beyond... don't need that!

would be intersted in some genuine tips - been out of touch for a while, also if anyone has any specific trading time that is most favourable - maybe i can organise my day around that.

any tips?
please let me know
Thanks

Hello every 1

This not a reply to the post above but a question

I am from Morocco, and you probably don't know that our stock exchange market is: Casablanca Bourse.
I recently downloaded Metastock 10 but didn't manage to adapte it properly to our market.
If you have Metastock 10 & want to give it a try...?

Well here goes...

Hi T2Wers,

I'm Angus Clacher the MD of Ariel - we make the software that some of the spread betting, FX and CFD firms use.

I'm here to learn about what is important to you guys and hopefully improve some of the stuff we do.

Best, Angus.

Hi

Just an introduction note. I’ve been trading FX for two years. I have not done it consistently neither have I done it successfully. My stock trading gives me much better results and I have been primarily focused on that. With the summer months coming, and a typically unfavorable stock trading climate, it’s time to look at FX more seriously. I’m here looking for learning opportunities above and beyond the basic stuff.

Regards

Hi, I searched for information in this forum several months ago when I was looking for a trader's job, but only registered today as I recently got the job.

I am Chinese. I did a physics PhD in Cambridge. Last year I started working in an auditing-like company. But I felt I need to earn more money, so I started looking for better-paid jobs. I self-taught much about Hull's book. I luckily got an offer from Tibra Trading, an Australian based market-making prop company who is expanding into Europe.

I am entirely newbie in trading. My training course will take place in June. I read through the discussions here and found many interesting topics that provide answers to most of the questions I used to have about the trading career. Hope to make friends with all of you.

Hi, being chinese do you about Homma the guy that invented candlestick charts for trading Rice futures contracts in china? I have only been trading forex for 2 weeks using
candlesticks with western indicators and they are exellent, especially bullish/bearish engulfing candles, they get you mega pips usually.

Hi, this is my first post, just to introduce myself. I've been trading forex since October 2007, and to tell you guys frankly, i have not yet making any profit in this business. I hope i can learn something here so i can make some profit.

Hi

Hi.

I've been trading for about 15 years. Started out maxing out my credit cards to fund the minimum for a brokerage account as a student.

Since then I have been on the institutional side - an exotics derivatives trader for a couple of years, a fixed income relative value specialist and most recently a global macro trader in fixed income and fx.

Now taking a couple of years out and managing my own portfolio. So looking also at global equity indices and single stocks as well as bonds and fx.

I favour a blend of fundamental, sentiment and technical analysis and very much believe that the best opportunities are available to contrarians. For that reason, one of my favourite markets is sterling - short sterling and gilts can be particularly rewarding to those of a contrarian bent.

I'm here to learn about tools I might have overlooked, to better integrate the existing components of how I look at markets and to improve my risk control and money management.
