This is a new sticky thread in the Members, Meetups & Socials forum which provides everyone an opportunity both old members and new an opportunity to introduce themselves to the community.

If you're a new member, or maybe just a lurker who hasn't yet taken the plunge, then this is as good a place as any to start. Tell us a bit about yourself, perhaps your trading history and interests, and what you hope to gain from the site.

:!: If you have any simple questions related to trading, then please refrain from asking them in this thread and instead use the First Steps forum, which is targeted specifically to newbies taking their first steps:

Everybody is different! It all depends on what YOU want, there are guys and gurus out there saying that even a 15 min chart has lot of noise, and they will only work with 60 min and above. I often work with 1 min and also a second chart - and this can often net me 100+ pips

so try out different ways and see what works for you

Moment of realisation!

Hi Everyone!

 Really happy about finding this forum. After being racing' in the City for over a year I have realised that it is not really for me. I have been trading indices for the last year through spreadbetting but it was rather game for me. Now I have decided to give up my job and devote myself to trading full time. I have very limited experice: attended couple of workshops and got basic understanding of TA, but I got this ,sixth sense' that this is a area I have to dig in...

So any advice or feedback from you will be wellcome!

Thanks

Hi all, I've just joined T2W . . . I've done a fair few trades in the last two years, but got burned through not handling my emotions properly, so withdrew and invested a fairly large amount of time and money in learning :)

Hi, I a newbie in trading. I'm about to start a course with DARREN Winters when I chance upon this site.
I hope I could get a refund from DarrenWinters and learn more from this site.

It's a fooly on my part for not goolging and do a research before parting with £ to DARRENWINTERS.

Any help from the members will be appreciated

Thanks

Welcome. Fingers crossed re: refund.

Just try and spend a month or so reading these boards. There is more here than Darren Winters can ever hope to give (sell) you.

Good to find somewhere with real, honest advice. I'm a complete newbie and have been tentatively reading and watching for a month now. I intend to explore trading soon with a couple of grand and am intrigued by commodities, although have some ethical reservations about agricultural commodities. I also suspect a vulnerability of mine might be a temptation to gamble on AIM stocks or penny shares and I need to be aware of this I suppose. A hard part of all this is the language...and the acronyms. Anyway, I doubt I'll be posting for a while yet, just lurking and learning. Cheers
