in all seriousness, I think the problem is one of mindsets.
Salespeople are more likely to understand trading.
They understand the idea that not all sales calls result in a deal.
They know that if they make enough calls, someone will bite; they know that the total of successful sales outweigh the number of calls resulting in no sales.
They also understand the nature of irregular incomes.
People who are salaried, ie, get paid the same, safe, regular, amounts, dont get it, and think anything other than regular income is somehow inherently risky.
(one of my pet theories is that salespeople are likely to make it as traders, since they have acquired the mindset of hits/misses, and likely to stick with a plan until success kicks in.)

How do you describe it they usually look in horror as its sounds like some big scam and it doesn't exist? I keep away from telling them the Forex market is the largest in the world.
