How much has your MP claimed?

This Excel spreadsheet was emailed to me last night. I thought I would post it for the curious.
I can't vouch for it's accuracy but I don't think it's far, if at all, off the mark.

it can't be a per year figure as it would change per year. Its either 1 year or since they have held the seat.

It's the amount they claimed for the period 2007-2008.

I think there is more information available on the Telegraph or Guardian website.

Quite remarkable just how similar the total amounts are. Not too much deviation from £160K as an average.

Perhaps they are all equally efficient in getting the best value for your money for the vital necessities of running their individual operations.

Or maybe they just compare notes and try not to appear out of whack with the rest. You’d expect a far greater deviation from the average across this number of individuals. Interesting.

I mean anyone can apply to be an MP if they want to get their snouts in the trough aswell so what is everyone complaining about.

And we all have a say in the hiring and firing of them.

They have not broken any laws, they have't even broken their own rules, their actions have been immoral at best.

I have a sinking suspicion that these guys would be even worse....if not simply more expensive....

.......Yes...now watch for a huge PR coming form these MPs.......feeding their children from dust bins.....going hungry and haggling at Tescos......sleeping in bunk beds in Parliament.......harworking MPs sleeping rough in London streets.....women MPs accosted and nearly raped while taking train home......battered and torn MPs bags.......threadbare suits with patches on knees....etc etc...

....Well I will elect my neighbour as he is a moral, learned, ethical individual and his heart and mind in right place....

....But then he does not want to be an MP...!...In fact he was rather annoyed when I suggested that he should try to get elected as an MP....!

The UK has been in decline for many years, morally and financially. Just ask the MP in my old town. He should know because he used to be the justice minister!
