Gordo

These guys were disasters because things did not go right. We have a lot over here, in Spain, who make your lot look like small fry. However, they were all voted in with a sweeping majority.

I think they were disasters because of their policies, actions and personalities, rather than mere happenstance that "things did not go right".
I'm sure you didn't really mean that, Split :)
Anyway, they were paid to get things right (at least most of the time) and had power entrusted to them, though not in mad, bad Gordo's case as he was never elected PM and shied away from looking for electoral endorsement until forced to do so - even then he had to have the levers of power wrested from his manic grip.

No, that's true. I think that he was given the poisoned chalice by Blair. Blair got out at just the right time, didn't he? Plus, he's a multi-milionaire. Brown is no pauper, either, so to hell with feeling sorry for him, he's got much more than I have!

He ain't got decency or humanity, Split, so maybe you have more of what matters than he has?
