FTSE signals / alerts service

I've been searching google to see if I can find a service that will alert me to trends or potential moves in the FTSE as I don't have the whole day to devote to trading, plus I'm still learning chart analysis. Does anyone have a site they would recommend? Or are there any to steer well clear of?

Hi there, I cannot recommend Day Trading the FTSE 100 to make money enough, you can sign up to a daily alert service and this gets you alerts via text and email and also the host, Nick, posts them in the private chatroom, which is very busy and full of experienced and newbie traders (like myself)

After my post I found this site FTSE Day Trading. Analysis, charts, alerts for IG Index FTSE trading which is run by the same guy I think. I signed up and have made 52 points from the SMS alerts so far, but I was busy with work and missed a couple which was frustrating. Still, £104 return in two weeks isn't bad and hopefully I can improve on that in Feb!

So how are you evaluating performance when by his own admission, he doesnt actually provide stops and targets as part of his calls ?

I don't know how he can evaluate performance without signing up (apart from looking at the results page which is updated regularly). The only way you can really judge is to sign up and copy the trades to see how you get on.

He does provide stops and targets as part of the calls i.e. a text says 'short 5800 stop 15 target 30'. Along the way he follows up with emails saying '50% sold at 5785, stop moved to break even on remainder of trade' etc etc.

yeah your right his performance tables show +148 for jan and b/e for feb so far ...not sure how he comes about that ...just had a quick squint ..
