FTSE 100 Intraday - December

lol
I suspect they have been playing games with us again.
this time it was the cash market, I think.

anice lamb chop with sauted pots and glazed carrots would go down a treat, but having Fahita's instead...it's quicker

mully
its just off the data feed.

hooya
the problem is that there is no real way to be sure if your
suspicions are correct. The only clue I thought I had was that we had not made a lower low when I would have expected one.
And the dax had been moving like a bat out of hell.
And the Dow was holding up.
And thats a bit tenuous ?

ah well, its all in the game !

well, the US had put on +40 since i said I thought it had more to fo and FTSE quote has moved all of +4.....now thats the part of the game I dont like

maybe but its reality ?
somebody wanted you to sell into the close so they could buy cheaply ?
that's what trading is all about.

however, the implications may be interesting if they really know
something we dont ?

on the other hand ........
if the dow tanks, the sellers will be happy bunnies ?

looks like it was the US's doing imo, started to move before UK.

edit and it made a new high at 4.31 so I guess a few people who were short maybe into the close paniced abit maybe?

Bonsai

still managing to pull the wool over your eyes after all these
months eh

I must be labouring under a misapprehension. I was under the
impression that the daily cash was virtually a straight reflection
of the index. ie: if ftse stands at 4000 daily cash is 3998 - 4002.
If that's right, it (the daily cash) is not moved by its own supply
and demand but is moved by changes in the index. The index
has no supply and demand of its own and moves merely by the
individual changes in supply and demand of its 100 constituents.

Ftse futures, on the other hand, is a tradable instrument in its
own right and does have its own supply and demand to move its
price. That supply and demand is influenced by the ftse daily cash.

Where have I got it wrong?

jon

I know what FTSE is, I know what FTSE futures are but what is
"daily cash" ?
are you talking about sb's prices ?
