Exel data merge for Metastock

Hi,

I am using a dde link to create EOD exel files that I then use the downloader to convert into metastock format.

My excel files contain 5 years of OHLC.

However, everyday when i need to update this data I do not need 5 years of data. Only the days since my last update.

This is easy to do but...

I now have 2 seperate excel files with the same ticker. One with 5 years historical data and one with just the updated data.

Does Metastock or indeed excel have a function that can merge these 2 files together.

Or

Am I going about doing this completely the wrong way

I think you may be looking for 'Data - Consolidate'. Take a look if not, or you need more help, post, or send me a sample of your data (in Excel).
