EOD vs Pro?

Hi,

I'm considering dipping my toe into the waters of charting software and have decided that MetaStock is probably the tool for me (having toyed with the idea of Vantage Point but been scared off by comments on the forums here). Am am wondering whether anybody could give me a bit of advice on which version of the tool I should be looking at buying, Pro or EOD,, and possibly which plug-ins?

I have been trading in individual equities for about 10 years using various stratergies (many home grown and hairbrain :cheesy: ) I recently decided to start spread betting and have been making around 10% return (pretty poor for the level of risk I think), I'd like to make more. I am fairly open on stratergies to adopt, so it doesn't really matter if the tool points at a given stratergy, as long as it will be successful.

Any ideas chaps?

Cheers,

Jonty

Hi Jonty, I'm an MS Pro user.

Pro means intraday up-to-the-minute charts but likely monthly fees for datafeed and perhaps exchanged fees depending what you trade; some EOD data can be download free otherwise relatively inexpensively.

Believe there's more thumbs down than up for plugins, however they can be tried and returned within 30 days — verify with UK MS distributor.

Choice is based on whether or not you're intraday trading.
