Can Metastock RT be used as EOD?

A friend of a friend was given Metastock Pro and doesn't want to pay for the live data feed and just wants to sell the program. If I purchase it, it would just be for EOD use as I don't want to pay for the live data feed either. Can Pro be used as an EOD product or is it somehow configured to only accept RT data? Many thanks.
