Downloading index data from Bloomberg

Hello,

Could anyone help me as to how on Bloomberg I could download the entire history for the index:

S&P 500 Consumer Staples (Sector) - Ticker: S5CONS

Both versions including total return.

Inception date - Dec 30, 1994

You can do it with the BBG Excel add-in pretty easily...

Pardon my ignorance as I am not familiar and am having a friend do it for me.

Is that add-in an extra cost?

No, if you have the terminal, you get the add-in(s) for free.

Which would they download?

If they have the terminal, they can simply use one of the tools provided to install the add-in.
