Currency trading on D1 time frame

Loving your trade management in this treding market.
But I will be interested to see how you adapt to choppy markets when they come.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, the challenge is when markets gets choppy.

buy eurusd at 1.3920 is 104 pips in profit. s/l is moved to 1.3920 (b/e).
right now price is around 1.4026. I will buy again with 0.5% risk

new order ---> buy eurusd at 1.4026 s/l: 1.3920 (0.5% risk)

All trades closed. Tomorrow I will post summary of this week's trades.

Have a nice weekend :)

Yes, the challenge is when markets gets choppy.

Let's say it stays choppy for a while. The options as I see them:

- Switch to trend fading strategies
- Look for trends in other markets
- Stay out, i.e. wait for trends in the same pair

What would you choose (including any other option I haven't considered) ?

- Switch to trend fading strategies
I'm not familiar with these strategies. Could you please provide a link to more information?

- Look for trends in other markets
This is one of the alternatives I like. At the moment I don't trade anything except Forex. I can change the pair I trade. I'm thinking about trading exotic pairs like USDSEK in these cases.

- Stay out, i.e. wait for trends in the same pair

This is good decision when I want to focus on one pair. However, If the pair I trade stays in range bound condition for a long period, I'll be looking for trading another pair (alternative 2 above)

No eurusd buying right now.

I place a sell stop:

sell stop eurusd at 1.3764, s/l: 1.3884 (1% risk).

HI,

sell stop activated and stopped out. I didn't take any trade today. It seems that I made a mistake, I should have bought eurusd . Lets see what will happen. :)

Hi,

What are you basing your entries on? I am not sure you should be long either, at least according to price action on D1 timeframe, IMHO.

I agree there's no evidence of a downtrend yet, but price has clearly stalled at 1.4000 and it's not making new highs. Slowing momentum and rising volatility should always be a warning sign.

eurusd is still stalled around 1.4000. However I decided to buy based on today's strong bullish movement. Minimum risk (0.5%) is taken.

buy eurusd at 1.3932 s/l: 1.3723 (0.5% risk).

Hi Trader_d, good luck with your jnl, did not see a post of the above, just out of interest.

Yes, I've not update my spreadsheet. Sometimes I'm very lazy. Hopefully I'll update my spreadsheet and post it Monday afternoon. Please comeback soon.

Thanks for your reminder and trade well. :)
