Bitcoin faces regulatory crackdown, Bank of England warns
Hi Quantt,
You're doing a great job highlighting the negatives of the crypto space and, without doubt, it's riddled with all sorts of issues. That said, even someone as skeptical and as anti-crypto as you must surely see the problem with Mark Carney's comments. To me, his extraordinary attack on crypto can only mean one thing: namely, that he and the establishment that he represents are running scared and really don't know what to do to halt the runaway crypto train. Yes, it's got some major, major teething issues; no doubt about that at all. But, at the end of the day, the genie's out of the bottle. I know it, you know it and, based on today's events, Mark Carney and the BoE know it too. After all, if a dunce like me who knows diddly squat about cryptos can tear his speech apart, then that surely means it's game over!
;)
Tim.

Frankly I don't think there is fear, the fact is the whole crypto market is peanuts for those guys and the major whales holding the majority of bitcoins (over 1000) are just 1600 people in the world...

He is doing his job and this is what everyone will have to do: to regulate this as every other currency, stock, commodity, etc and to protect the ordinary people from all scammers, the front running, the tether printing, etc, etc... I think the governments are late to the party as always, but they will be there and will revert the tokens back to where they belong: on the fringe of the dark web...

The whole notion that by owning tokens you are some sort of a rebel and sticking it to Man is very funny to me and it comes from geeks than never had their teenage rebellion years... For them it will end badly by scammers sticking it to them instead...
