City Index vs. CMC

What are your thoughts, im really new to spread betting. So im using demo accounts for each company. I find City Index easy to use, and CMC's gui is really nice but it complicates me for some reason.

What is the difference between the two? I think it would be more beneficial to me, if i was to have real accounts as some shares seem to be unavailable.

I have never used CMC and City Index have a good and easy to use platform but their spreads are just not good enough (except DJ30).
