Cantorindex Zero spread offer!

tar, Yes, that's true some wouldn't of fesses up or had the courtesy to call. As for one minute not being a big deal.... 10 seconds is enough these days to turn your hairs grey in the markets ;)

VD Banana, yeah I will trial it, if it doesn't work then no big deal and off to another firm.I have opened accounts elsewhere now and will be trialing them over the coming weeks too.
Otherwise, how did you like the platform? The demo is quite fast, what about live trading, speed of execution and re-quotes?

in the casino industry this term is reserved for use solely by rogue operators who do not want to pay but cannot find a reason not too. Avoid.

You just described the trading industry. As soon as you fund an account they consider that money theirs. They only need to figure out a way to keep it, hence the ridiculous excuses.

It would have been much better if Cantorindex offer 1 point spread on the instruments in question. I would for sure give them a go if that was the case. As it is right now the prospect of joining them is fading rather quickly.

They wanted to offer zero spreads because they want to beat their competition - quite a few companies are offering 1 point spreads now, e.g. City Index, Spreadex and Capital Spreads. Cantor Index want to be one step ahead, hence the zero spreads.

No I don't think so, they know they can't maintain the Zero spread without some kind of restriction. From a goodwill point of view it is not a good thing to start playing games, phone calls, referral to a dealer and delays. They are interested in the money deposited from a interest point of view.

A very poorly description of the industry I would say.

IMO anyone says 1 minute is a long period of time then Spread betting is not for him , it will not work with cantorindex nor capitalspreads or any other SB broker for that matter ...

If so why don't you join them?

It is too much of a hassle to open a new account , and i am not interested at the moment , i don't care if it is 0 or 1 or even 3 points spread ,...

As I trade the Dow quite a lot I have tested those in live trading with 1 point spread on the Dow (except Spreadco).
I have to say that Capitalspreads (as well as some of the white labels) is the best one and suit my kind of trading very well.

vasco, nope £1 a point not ok. Tar, each to their own, find a system
that works and stick to it. rapid trading has many benefits over taking a position, but hey everyone is different and that's ok. I have found a Direct to market provider now who doesn't mind scalping, or so they say, we shall see. The having to wait 1 min doesn't work for my style.

I get you are a swing trader then.

But CMC has just increased spreads. More likely it's a marketing drive to pick up customers now they have a new platform.

Surprisingly quiet here considering Cantor is giving away free money. Anyone trading zero spreads?
Yes, not much action on this thread. Maybe Zero spread is working after all?:)
No really, I think experience traders do not fall for this. They know that some kind of restriction on trading style is around the corner.

I don't know if it has changed but another condition is something like 100 trades per day limit on the zero spread instruments.
