Hello,

IB took the Bronze for Best Options Broker in the T2W 2005 awards. We would like to be #1.

Not strictly an answer to your question but could you point me to a link on your site, or outline for me your policy on Options trading authorisation. Do you follow the common US pattern of levels based on an assessment of experience. eg Level 1 Buy Options and write covered calls up to Level 5 do anything - or do you have a different system.

Best regards

Low commission rates
Good service
No margin surcharge
Interest paid at LIBOR
Insider information
Good website (inc Porn links)
Fully funded annual dinner at the Dorchester

Is that enough to be going on with ?

Well, I didn't vote, but a couple of suggestions:

- add euro denominated bonds with decent margin rates so excess cash can be parked efficiently (actually this applicable for all currencies, but euro is by far the most important one for me)

- allow some time to fix the positions in case of a margin call. We discussed this before and I respect the position of IB. But margin calls always come unexpected and some allowance would be very convenient.

- somewhat more competitive commisions. Especially on the Dutch market. Many Dutch brokers offer free closing orders for premiums up to 10 cents. I don't want to say that IB should match this, but a lower commision for low premium options should be possible I think and would increase competitiveness of IB hugely
