Best chart colours

What are the best colours for graphs, by this I mean least likely to strain eyes. Mine are currently black lines on a white background but occasionaly I find my eyes straining? I remember there was a thread on this once before and mentioned an artist who studied the impact of different colours, think it was a Russian sounding name but I can't for the life of me remember it!! Thanks

I have found that a very light pastel green with black/white candles is pretty easy on the eyes, as opposed to white backgrounds which are way too harsh imo.

Interestingly, IB have "improved" their live charts by adding indicators, and replacing the white background with a black one. Also the new bars are so narrow that I can no longer see the vwap. Nice one IB
