if your totally new, read a few basic books and look through thisite.DO NOT spend money on any course untill you have checked them out properley. most of what you need is here. Welcome and good luck

ask yourself why do you want to be a day trader?

it's not for everyone

Once get good at demo try real stocks, however that day you sit down with your own money your emotions, decisions , choice and patience may go out the window haha! control these, stick to your plan, wait for the entries and trade well my friend

There are a million people out there who want to take yor cash, they have the "NEW" system the next super robot ignor them do not part with a penny.
Read, Read and read again, look at charts decide wether candlesticks or bar charts are easist for you to interpret. Scan the internet for systems put them on a demo play around with them.
It has taken me 2 years to come up with a system that works FOR ME, it will not work for every one. Develope your own style be comfortable with your system, do not get discouraged it will come, after years of major a minor loses a system will emerge do not expect it overnight.
Be patient and good luck

the site above looks very useful if you are starting out, it even has a free 3 month training routine for you to follow which looks very good....well worth spending some time looking through it and using it as a reference.

i have also found T2W very useful over the last couple of years - there is a fair amount of sh*te to troll through mind you, but it is worth persevering because there are some very valuable contributors. You just have to keep in mind (as other have said already) that there is no right or wrong path...you gotta get stuck in and make it work yourself, and put together your own strategy with the things you've read that click with you, but perhaps more importantly the things you have observed from all the many many hours of watching the market that you will have to do before you go risking a dime!

good luck

Quite true, but I like the alternative even less. :D

Everything depends on the personality of the person. I prefer to trade and close in one session. If I can do one trade, fine, no-one needs to be a scalper to be a day trader, although one trade per session is glory! I often have to do three or four but, even so, a bad day's trading does not involve the risk and possible loss and worry to me that I would have to put up with in long term trades.

The other point I would make is that, if I have a good day's trading I, sometimes, roll over into a longer term . In other words, one thing can lead to another.
