Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

The market rules.

And the market is 'valuing' MRW above the asset-strippers offer price this morning.

But they knew this already, or wouldn't have made the bid.

Board quite right to reject.

....... unless they add some sweeteners/ bribes (board member share options etc) to get them on side, of course.

Maybe another shark will give it a try.

;)

are we expecting Dow to drop back on the open or was this pull back good enough for another ramp up

I don't know if you remember the bidding race for sky(TV) it started with one suite then 2 then 3 kept sp going up from 700's after first bid to 1000-1100 till finally accepting an offer, do you think similar thing could happen here therefore buying at this price worth it?

It's a different sector, and very different market conditions.

BUT. Supermarkets won't get shut down in '3rd Wave' lockdown, although impacted by significant Covid costs.
Also, there's rampant inflation and massive unemployment in the pipeline.
Food is a basic, but low margins on staples.

It's still well under pre-pandemic price, though, so still a bargain, on a longer view.

So, if you buy now, be prepared to hold.
