Today officially begins the Earnings Season with the presentation of Alcoa's quarterly accounts. The earnings season starts today, but only in the next week is to gain greater intensity. In addition to Alcoa's results will be published on Friday Citigroup accounts, JP Morgan and Wells Fargo.

Pip, I'm going to tell this for free, when I first got into this game I asked my best mate, a real life person, a time served instu-banker "what do you think of candle sticks ?"

He told me "they are good for seeing in the dark"

I didn't need to ask him what he thought of fibs.

certainly, bankers have the inside track. but what about rest of us that aren't insider bankers..are we to just throw up our hands and say can't make any $ at this?

agreed-i traded for 5yrs without the above boll@@@ and still came out on top.
get in a movement and scale out.

No we don't throw our hands up, we read the accumulation zones, we read the trappy nature of these zones & try to stay neutral as much as humanly possible.

We are gambling at the end of the day, so are the Banks.
