There are desperate people who are scared of a world recession and they will do just about anything to prevent it. But the whole point of capitalism is that you let market forces do their job, once Governments start messing around with that formula it spirals out of control.

You mean populism takes over common sense. .....the Goverments are Addicts to cheap money (read not there's). While corporates are 'driven', often with the 'Profit Only blinkers set to On'.
