Any recommended trading mentor?

Hi every t2w members,

I am new to trading. Does anyone know of any credible trading mentor to recommend me?

Arabianights is a really good mentor. Unfortunately he's a lunatic and loves to test people's determination. The only way to get him to listen to you is to constantly bombard him with PM's and keep putting up with his insults. 2/3 months of constant nagging should do it.

Welcome to T2W!
The answer to your question very much depends on what you mean by 'trading mentor' and what you want him/her to do for you?

For example, some members refer to a 'mentor' when what they really want is a coach. The latter will teach their view of the markets and how to trade one or other of them using their methodology. Quite a lot of people offer this option and the trick here is to match their style of trading with your own. If you're primarily interested in swing trading the forex market - then there's little point in getting coaching from a trader who specialises in day trading Nasdaq stocks.

The former is someone who will assess your skills, knowledge and experience and ask detailed questions about where you're at - trading wise - and where you want to be. They will help you to capitalise on your strengths and manage your weaknesses to help you extract maximum profits from the market while incurring only minimum losses. Finding someone who you gel with and has the ability to achieve these results is no easy task.

Arabianights is not a ****ing mentor and will not ****ing mentor anyone.

Additionally, even if you bribed arabianights sufficiently (every man has his price, after all) his style of trading is not at all suitable for pretty much anyone not paying cut throat comission rates and/or with huge amounts of patience and exceptional connectivity, for tis a pure local style of trading that loves capturing spreads or rare events...

On the other hand, scose-no-doubt is a fantastic mentor. He also did some good work for the yoof of liverpool (even better than Jon Venebales) so will love to hear your requests.

You remain the only person ever to have that honour (intentional, as opposed to the stupid buggy behaviour that room exhibts, banning) actually :LOL:

You are presently unbanned fwiw... as I said if you come in and aren't annoying we don't care, but when a 16 year old is constantly asking us annoying ignorant questions we don't have time for... go hassle people on t2w instead please... :)

See, caveman. He's already playing hard to get. Start the flurry of PM's etc and get him softened up a bit more. He'll soon cave.

We've actually had lots of teenagers... we've also had quite a few teenagers in chat... we only have a problem with annoying ones, we're in fact genuinely helpful* to most, I think...

*even if that's only through crushing honesty...
 
go me though, i've successfully pissed away a chance at getting good contacts !
