50% tax

Atilla you seem to pay alot of attention on 'tax on spending'

I have no idea what you are rambling on about here Richie Rich...

What on earth has your 30 cars got to do with taxation???

You can't keep focus on one subject no point in effing and blinding about FA.

Someone somewhere has to pay tax.

Think schools, hospitals, police, council service, national defence etc... Nothing in life is free. Start adding up and pay your dues...

PS I'm anti-car and I freaking hate cars.

You can do what the Egyptians did and bury them with you when your tax dues are finally up... :cheesy: (y)

Err... I meant with my push bike dude... :cheesy:

Did you really miss that lamp post on your photo? Hmm close shave. :whistling

I'd strongly recommend this for you Institute of Advanced Motorists | Welcome to the IAM!

It's not really about doing hand break turns and spins but it does teach you to read the road like a book and look out for hazaaaards like lamp posts.

You can get discounts on your insurance too and the course is free but you pay for your test.

Guys on taxation - has anybody noticed VAT is going back up to 17.5%??? (1st Jan 2010).

I'm absolutely stunned at the stupidity of this labour government. Not only that they have missed an opportunity to raise it to 20% to match European levels at a deflationary cycle of the economy.

Was it worth the administration effort required???? :devilish:

Just for the record I'll be voting Liberal again at the next elections... :smart:

Liberal !!!
OMG !!! and I thought you were ok.
What a choice - Labour thieves and incompetents, Tory twits, Liberal do-gooding, grandstanding no-hopers.
I suppose they do have ConVince Me Cable, at least he's got some sense. But one man a party doth not make.

I've spent my life voting Labour and Conservative and got jack out of them both. I am more of an anarchist these days than anything else...

I liked Charles Kennedy really. Thought he was great. Talked sense he did.

If Kenneth Clarke was running for the Tories I'd vote for him.

All the rest are merely puppets dressed up for spin. No substance in any of them imho.

You know that's not a bad idea... It would be difficult to tax sex but you sure could tax condoms at a much higher rate than we do now. (y)

However, downside might be not good if poor sods end up breeding more unwanted pregnancies cause they couldn't afford the condoms... Perhaps not a good idea :smart:

Mate you've got it all wrong - trust me.

I would be trully the greatest leader the UK will have ever encountered in its history.

Because I don't have my head up my own **** like all these other politicians.

I would be altruistic and serve the people and the nation. I am always msytified by people who have so much who still want more.

For example Tony Blair. Started off well. People gave him the mandate and he effed up big time. At one point he thought he was big time. And he was. Now people have seen him for what he is - he is a nobody. People have even seen his cynical use of religion for evading tax. Middle East peace envoy is a bit of a joke too. Hardly a job for a war monger is it? He lost it when he discovered his ego.

People only excel when they work for the benefit of others.

Me - I don't have expensive taste, live modestly and down to earth with heart and soul in the right place.

I get more pleasure from walking by the sea then driving a Ferrari down some concrete motorway - incubating in traffic.

You come down to Worthing and cycle along the sea front and breath in the fresh breeze, feel the wind in your hair and see if you get high enough to touch the clouds.

This is wisdom of life and takes years to accomplish. Enlightenment that some people will never attain.

Enjoy all that you do... :)

people should vote for me, would rule the country in a similar style to the once great leader, darth vadar

This country is going down the toilet and I am extremely concerned and saddened by it. There are idiots working in public sector and government departments who can't read / write / spell / add properly. There are people working in banks who don't know how to calculate APRs. For the vast majority of youngsters, the best role models we have are people like Jade "Nobody" Goody. Now, all the smart people who were preventing us from slipping into a perpetual decline are going to be taxed at 50% + and will undoubtedly leave and benefit other more deserving countries.

Where did it all go wrong? It has been a shocking decline in the last 50 years or so. People who inherited the country from our imperialist ancestors have completely wrecked everything we have worked for over 400 years.

We celebrate mediocrity and most people on the streets don't know the difference between "your and you're". This is the kind of garbage from people of a country which invented English, Shakespeare, Dickens, Austen, etc. Shame on you.

Its all well and good blaming "bankers" for the mess we are in. However, it was started by mediocre idiots having 20 credit cards and "entrepreneurs" who thought that acquiring 20 properties by lying to banks and renting them out was a clever business idea. You deserve negative equity.

Mediocre idiots then get p!ssed off when hard working Polish / Indian / African immigrants toil and make a life and proud citizens of themselves.

I think we need to look at our priorities in this country and develop a 20 year plan to return us to our glory days where the world used to look at us as a shining example of what hard work, innovation, literature and meritocracy can achieve. We need to install worthy role models for our kids. We need to improve our education system and we need to teach many grown ups how to spell/add/read/write properly. We need to discourage this culture of mediocrity and the growing social underclass who think it is funny to be stupid and ignorant.

Wake up now or rot in hell…!

Education is a good place to start. My daughter attends what is arguably one of the better institutions in the Uk ,but I still find it necessary to give her one to one tuition in Maths and English to get her to the standard that I think she should be at. By that I don't mean some form of rocket scientist. The standard I set is only where I know I was at her age and frankly that wasn't that great ..LOL ..however it was apparently further along than where they are expected to be at today..but if you set the bar low you will get low achievement.

My contribution to this issue will be this ..... "Lose" is a different word to "Loose". ;)

However ,what chance do we have when one of the best selling authors of modern times
writes "Plow" instead of "Plough" in his latest novel and this even get's past the proof readers etc.

Education has been on a downward path for decades as the bleeding heart would be reformers had their way with the curriculum and examination format and how all of this would be employed to statistically assess how well a school performed. The law of unintended consequences is that each according to the law of survival dumbed down what was required and then proceeded to focus upon 'looking good' in the tables. Meanwhile, churning out generations of under educated kids who thought "loose" was cool dude ;)
Unfortunately ,many of those kids now occupy positions of relative importance in our govts ,national and local ,and the corporate world and we wonder why they deliver crap.

You know I have read how the boomers somehow destroyed the good stuff in the world etc ,but they didn't. By comparison they were educated ,motivated and dared to be different ..today , uniform mediocrity appears to be the place to be and it will remain so whilst we have such overwhelming tendencies to allow socialist practice to have rein over independent responsibility and decision making governed by the law of the market.
You kill it you eat. You don't you starve (subsist).
