Welll, here is somthing to think of for you guys: change country 
I lived in germany - top tax around 56%, and we pay 19% sales tax on all goods.
Now I live somewhere else, and pay a flat 19% tax (no increments)

I suppose the issue is that we shouldn't have to plan things to get around paying tax. It is a shame that Winky Mc****nut and pals can't admit they're ****. We're paying for his gambling addiction.

when u have a investment firm/trading firm thats a LLP and choose to pay urself a fat salary then u have to make changes again.
As for trading profits im not sweating.

There's no benefit to having an LLP over a company unless you hold mortgages in your own name
as long as you distribute all profits to keep a low balance sheet (a couple of million) and try to stay in small company status...

Trading = Gains on capital items and are therefore subjected to capital gains tax @ 18% and not income tax

incorrect. if i decide to pay more for healthcare or education and it is not a cost to the state then fck em. or if i have been prudent and not borrowed to the hilt but am now being caned by receiving no interest and now being hit with 50% tax.....this govt should be ashamed but as a country we're too dumb/weak to do anything about it.
