yeah, i noticed that. its a vagary of the formula i used in the spreadsheet. technically i should strip out the second trade, ie the gain of 251, but i wanted to use the same workings i did in the original spreadsheet for the sake of comparison. overall though, it shouldnt alter the results too...

thought i would update the results of this system for the past 2 years. 25 trades, 20 wins (80%) yielding 1,362 points on the Dow according to the original rules some mega losses owing to recent turbulence, but still im pleased that its holding up relatively well.. approx 50pts per trade after...

errr no... the movement as the share will go ex div is pretty much the price of the dividend.. eg, a share at 100p... you buy at 100p, and it goes ex div, paying a div of 5p... so you receive the 5p dividend credit, however the price of the share drops to 95...which it will do (the markets...

well, put it this way... Yahoo was up 8% after the close at one point.. eased back to only 5% up, but the Dow has shifted 0.3% already, and i would be surprised if this doesnt filter into further movement in Asia and Europe before the Dow opens tmr..

cracking numbers after the bell guys...Intel, IBM, YHOO panic over.. up we go until at least thursday close... but watch for friday, because of both options expiry, and also the 20th anniversary since you know what.. fc

who says their prices must be in line with the futures prices? if not, arbitrage out of them, if they are, then you dont have a case. i cannot see how you possibly have a case.
