i won't be around the rest of the week, so good luck everyone.

hope you get your 4150 leo :)

Cheers Bryan, have a good rest of week, nice one on hitting your targets!

You're really cracking out the cheesy jokes lately!! :jester:

FTSE 1yr daily analysis!!

I can understand why Rezadamus and Loe think this market is going to 4000

50 and 200 MA is providing mega support @ 4280 level!!

lets see what tomorrow brings

following this chart we must conclude the market is going down to 4000 level

BUT looking at the 1 hr chart there is scope for the market to recapture the 4300 level and even trade up to 4350 -4360 ..........possibly even go back into the 4300 - 4500 range!!

we should only trade what we see

take nothing for granted in this market

4310 will be first level of resistance for me on the morrow

there are too many variables at play

I will wait to see what the market leaders such as Barclay which is looking very vulnerable, BP , BAY, AAL, Next etc will do !!

Good stuff Wallstreet (youre last post on analysis)....

So most people here are spreadbetting the FTSE?

For a newcomer, should i use a spreadbet or a CFD (£2 mini contract).....? for FTSE trade...
Spreadbet seems more easy to get to grips with...

SOmebody said this: Right, we have support around 4265 from waay back in late April/early May."
Slightly confused by this comment.... it doesnt look like support to me.....

Sorry off topic, can we bookmark a specific comment made by somebody???

And the time above right in each comment, mine is completely wrong to UK time, can we set this right?

morning all, not much on might go back to bed!

Anyway this week/next week......

UP 4330 target 1, 4420 target 2

4180/4160 would be target 1, 4000/3950 target 2

IF things really are bearish NASDAQ must break 1438 - NASDAQ holds the key. Technologeeeeeeeee

Good Morning Francis and good morning every one

first level of resistance will 4310 and then I will look towards market leaders for direction

if trendline taken out then 4360 next level!!

oil up to $71.5

Euro and GBP up = dollar down = good support for market at this level!!

morning campers,

lost -30 pts on an overnight SPX position, DOH!

i may have a little half hour speculation before work...addicted moi? surely not sir...

asian markets down (apart from china), but european futures up surprisingly.

important UK news @ 9.30

been trading the DAX and will probably stay in it. because of the chop yesterday i cannot see clear s&r in the FTSE so will stay with the dax today.

marc ostwald..the bond strategist saying on cnbc yesterday..not enough data to mak a big call on the markets just yet
EXPECT HIGHER VOLATILITY IN THE NEXT 3 MONTHS.....YUM YUM
this is due to lack of volatility recently
expecting bond yields to drop.however, longer term, trend on these is up

choppay!

DAX buffer @ 4822

FTSE buffer 4300

what with downside overall bias... who is gonna push this up? gonna be another range week. Scalperriffic.

Hi jon, I think it was me that said that.

I'm on a 1hr chart, and there was a previous resistance zone between 4280-4265. Often previous resistance levels will turn into support, and vice versa.

Monrning all,
Went long on Vedanta Yesterday evening before the close and just closed for +30 points * £5.
Reason: Vedanta just followed Rio in sympathy yesterday and there was no real 'news' for it to go down.
Hence i bought at the close.

** As i said before my trading style may not suit everyone and that is why i avoid posting my analysis here. I wish i was as good a Technical analyst as many of you guys **

Happy trading
