· The FTSE is called up a solid 25-30 points higher this morning after oil and mining majors look set to buoy
the index after strong export data from China overnight, and after the initially disappointing US non farm
payrolls in Friday have been digested, as the markets had been hoping for a flat or even stronger number but
instead payrolls fell by 85k, but within the data analysts can see temporary employment increasing for the
third month in a row and with a margin of error of 100k the underlying situation is still seen continuing to
improve, and with Alcoa reporting today the next US corporate reporting season winds up over the next few
